A shot I’ve been wanting to do for a while.
The home of cricket in dense winter fog…. now I know why cricket is a summer sport, you’d be hard pressed to face Brett Lee from the Pavillion end when you can’t even see the bowler on his approach!

BLACK & WHITE | BUILDINGS & ARCHITECTURE | FLOWERS | IRELAND | LONDON | MALLORCA | PLAYING with PICTURES | RED !I took shots of the New Wemvley Stadium showing the changing colours of the lights that surround the area and light up the Wembley Arean. This was my attempt to show some of the different light colours in one visually pleasing shot. And so, the butterfly. /

The Jardin Botanique, in Montreal Canada, is located right beside this infamous structure and I couldn’t help myself. I understand after a few years of closure that the elevator is now functioning again, so I plan a trip to the top in the fall. Haven’t been up there in years… The Olympic Stadium [1] (French: Stade olympique) is a multi-purpose stadium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada built as the main venue for the 1976 Summer Olympics. It subsequently became the home of Montreal’s professional baseball and Canadian football teams. Since the Montreal Expos relocated to Washington, D.C. in 2004 (and prior, the Montreal Alouettes second departure in 1997), the stadium has had no main tenant, and with a history of financial and structural problems, is largely seen as a white elephant. It currently serves as a 56,040-seat multipurpose facility for special events (e.g. concerts, trade shows) during non-winter months, and continues to serve as a venue for Grey Cup games hosted by the Montreal Alouettes. La tour de Montreal, the tower incorporated into the base of the stadium, is the tallest inclined tower in the world at 175 metres, and is a member of the World Federation of Great Towers. / -Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Featured in ARchitecture anbd Cityscapes group April 2009 / Featured in Unique Building of The World group February 2009 / Featured in the Architecture and Cityscapes photography group February 2009
The ‘G’
This is a tongue-in-cheek painting of the Greenpoint stadium in Cape Town. There was a lot of controversy around the building of this stadium, I tried to capture the joy of the people who would be watching the games, yet there was some debate about the venue- various environmentalists contested the venue, saying that it was not ec0-friendly. I think Nature will triumph in the end- that is why I painted a laughing dolphin looking on!
