  • Pointed and clickd when I was crossing a road – very happy with the outcome

  • Just in time for St. Patty’s day. / In Canada, Saint Patrick’s Day is an official holiday only in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Text inspired by the Dropkick Murphys song.

  • Loch of the Lowes lies in the beautiful scottish borders between Moffat and Selkirk. It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Ettrick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (There is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) My first ever feature on the home page ages on 23rd April 2008 and what a party that was…LOL See also : ‘i am a rock’ and ‘LoL’ loch of the lowes

  • Location: / St. Margaret’s Bay, Kent, England Map: / Multimap Date and Time: / 27 January 2008, 7.40 a.m. Camera details: / ISO 200 : f/22 : 10 seconds : 18mm : Nikon D40 : Nikon 18-55mm lens Shot narrative: / The calm stillness of the water is offset against the crashing waves against the rocks. It was a cold day and the tide was far out meaning that parts of the beach that are usually cut off by the tide were accessable and I could walk a mile or so along the beach from the car park to reach this spot.

  • American bald eagle closeup (captive)

  • ...

  • The same image as earlier but with lots more snow painted in and I’ve painted in Father Christmas’s arm outstretched, and footsteps through the snow. I’ve added a light effect and played around with the brightness, contrast and midtones. / Beware….....This could become an obsession.

  • St. Margaret’s Bay, Kent, England August 2008: Sunrise up over the English Channel on one of the most spectacular mornings i’ve witnessed at this location. The sky turned pink for just a minute before the sun rose up over the horizon.

  • The grand staircase, this time shot with only available light/mirk for a more unsettling ‘Silent Hill’ look. Just a little light tone mapping to avoid burn-out and retain shadow detail, otherwise this is all natural – including the small scrap of very blue wallpaper in the bottom left.

  • TAKEN AROUND THE MIDDLE OF DECEMBER 2008 WHEN VENICE FLOODED QUITE SEVERELY UP TO AROUND KNEE HEIGHT ALL THROUGH ST MARK’S SQUARE . THE WHOLE PLACE WAS LIKE A SWIMMING POOL!!! IT WAS SO COLD AND TOURISTS HAD NO WHERE TO GO BUT USING THE WOODEN PLATFORM WALKWAYS. IT WAS REALLY SURREAL. THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN THE AFTERNOON WHEN ALOT OF THE TOURISTS HAD GONE. /

  • These houses are based off real ones

  • ... This is kind of disturbing. ... jL

  • HDR of the millennium bridge in London with st Paul’s cathedral in the background It had been very stormy, a hail storm had just passed as the sun broke through, illuminating the cathedral, this is a composite of about 10 shots, to get rid off some of the tourists. HDR processed in photomatix from a single composite image, then processed using CS3 with lots of layers and tweaks. Canon 400D, Canon 10-22mm @13mm, f14, 0.5, iso100

  • This is St Malo’s church, a very popular church for the photography world. I have seen a hundred shots of this church and have always wanted to shoot it! The church is located in Allenspark Co about 12.5 miles from Estes Park Co. / Thank you Shiloh for taking me up there yesterday to get these shots!!! Was a perfect start to a perfect day! / Mr Nikon D60 DSLR / Tamron 18mm / 3 shot HDR Processed in Photomatix and then enhanced in LR / Check out Jonathan’s version Grace of God / /

  • “Floating on Clouds” was shot in Goulds Newfoundland Canada. This is The Dory in natural light. I was talking to a friend about shooting “The Dory” and “Floating on Clouds” and how I used a polarizer to bring out the clouds on the water (as seen here) and removed it and used a flash to shoot “The Dory”. I was wondering in hindsight what I would have come up with if I had used the polarizer and flash at the same time. I know I would have given up about up to two stops with the filter which would have meant a slower shutter speed and the boat was moving, ever so slightly, so it may not have worked out? But maybe next time, live and learn! Camera Model Canon EOS 50D / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1 / Av( Aperture Value ) 22.0 / ISO Speed 100 / Lens EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS / Focal Length 18.0mm / B + W Polarizer For more information please visit Brian’s Homepage or on Flickr

  • Lithuania, Vilnius The preast of this church is my school friend Edvardas priest Edvardas and my chool friends MORE ABOUT THE CHURCH / CLICK PHOTO St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church in Vilnius (Lithuanian: Šv. apaštalų Petro ir Povilo bažnyčia) is a Roman Catholic church located in the Antakalnis neighbourhood of the city. Its interior, has masterful compositions of stucco mouldings by Giovanni Pietro Perti and ornamentation by Giovanni Maria Galli1 of Milan, and is considered a Lithuanian Baroque masterpiece. The church is a basilica built on a traditional cross plan with a lantern dome allowing extra light into its white interior. The freestanding columns of the main facade were used for the first time in Lithuanian ecclesiastical architecture. The inscription surrounding the base of the dome (Tu es Petrus et supra hanc petram edificabo ecclesiam meam et portae inferi non praevale buntadversus eam) is the same as that of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. The church is decorated with over 2000 religious depictions. The frescos are attributed to Johann Gotthard Berchhoff.[citation needed]. The female heads opposite the St. Augustine Chapel represent two sister nations: Poland and Lithuania. / [edit]History
