Saturday, October 4 – Geelong Waterfront Woke up early, real early, to take a few shots. Seeing as how it’s daylight savings tomorrow, i think this may be the earliest sunrise during the year (5.54am).

Tank Man, or the Unknown Rebel, is the nickname of an anonymous man who became internationally famous when he was videotaped and photographed during the Tiananmen Square protests on 5 June 1989. TIME included the “Unknown Rebel” in its 100 most influential people of the 20th century. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this shocking yet iconic image.

One of my Personal Fav, taken about 1 year ago. / I printed out a background i made in photoshop, and put it next to the sink. / Then i let the drops fall and the patience set in. / Taken hand held with external flash. Hope you like it, any fav and feedback is welcome and very appreciated.

As a child, my treasured stuffed animal (as all children tend to have) was a little squirrel who went on every kind of adventure with me, and my favorite story was about a lil’ squirrel named “Miss Suzy” – written by Miriam Young, and illustrated by Arnold Lobel. I love the thought of the tiny leaf-boat capturing the attention of the denizens of the pond as it passes by en route to a wonderous place. January 10th, 2009 – WOW!! Thank you so much for the front page feature!!! I’m so delighted! If you like Columbus – you might enjoy some of my other little animal works!! / / /

from wonderful crete. / it is lovely at this time of year, but i am determined to come back to this beautiful island, someday, in early spring. just to experience the smells, the magic & the colors of flowers & herbs. this is taken early in the morning, just after the sun had set. / i was up every morning at between 6.30-7.00. sometimes i even had the beach all to myself. / the mornings were magical. canon 400d / canon 50 mm f 1.8

This collection of Urban Landscapes is drawn from a larger body of work called Darkscapes. They are moody evocative invitations into mystery and imagination taken from the ordinary things that make up the fabric of city life. Beauty is all around us if only we take the time to notice it. We all look but maybe we don’t all see. This collection of images is a way for me to share what I see with others. Some years back I was short listed for a Sculpture commission at the new Green Square Railway station. I didn’t in the end win the commission but I did get to walk up the tunnels before any trains traveled though the station. This is one of the many photo’s I took. This is a companion image to the Urban Landscape#28 taken underneath Green Square station a couple of years ago before the trains started to use the lines. Walking up these tracks was a truly amazing experience.
