This is a rather old image from the bottom of my big box of negatives that I’m slowly converting to digital files. I had been out on a fashion shoot and at the end of it I found I had 2 frames left. So on the way home with the model I stopped in at Graffitti Hall of Fame in Alexandria which is one of the inner city suburbs of Sydney. In this digital age its hard to imagine having faith in taking a good picture with only two goes at it but there you are! I got the model on to the roller and shot one from the front and with the very last frame shot this one. I hope you like it as much as I do. :) This is what it looks like framed
This is a collaboration with Di Edwards / from her gorgeous photo found here Proceeds from the sale of this will go to the AuCaDo Rescue Fund to help Australian Cattle Dogs in need.
Sometimes faeries take humans away to beautiful, magical places but sometimes, the places they take us are dark and not so beautiful. This was done for a project themed “Fear’s Playground.” It’s based on a nightmare I had a few years ago where this malevolent nixie was terrorizing a small town and killing off young men. The dream started with her drowning a surfer so that’s the scene I illustrated here. It was actually a rather terrifying dream—I guess because I have such a strong fear of drowning.
A collaboration with the very talented John Edwards .. http://www.redbubble.com/people/johne / go here to check out his gallery The moment I saw his picture I knew I had to pink it up some more !!

This is a photo of my niece that I shot before I had a digital camera. I scanned the photo, added it over and image by CruelDreams that I edited in ps by using the channel mixer, dodging, burning, cloning and added text. Took a photo of a butterfly and selected each wing section separately and cut and moved them into position using transform. Adjusted the opacity of those layers to give each wing section a transparent appearance. Painted with the airbrush tool on a lower opacity over the wings to make the colors tie in with the costume. Also used the airbrush with warm color to add the effect of light coming from her wand illuminating the darkness around her and added touches to her and her wings where I felt the light would hit.

1958 Austin Healey Sprite Mk1
Sprite: A sprite is a kind of fairy or elf. Sprite comes from the Latin word spiritus or spirit and once meant “soul” or “ghost.” Sprites are used in many folktales. Sprites are found only in places where it is serene and cool. They like to play with nymphs or torment butterflies, but the butterflies don’t really mind. Sprites have one very important job, which is going around and changing the colors of a tree’s leaves in Autumn. Sprites are very creative. They are muses, artists, and poets. They are some of the most creative fairies. Some even decide to bond or marry a human or elf and stay with them their whole lives. Model used for reference is the beautiful Cima and can be found here: http://fairiegoodmother.deviantart.com/ Textures used are from ahoberer78-stock and can be found here: http://ahoberer78-stock.deviantart.com/
She emerged from the dark and drifted to the surface. Her naked, pale skin was mostly obscured by her swirling blonde hair. She held his look, staring up at him with longing, and reached for his hand. / Read more HERE The idea for this image was brought about late last night whilst reading a wonderful story in Redbubble titled / In Love With the Ocean / Written by the very talented Damian Model – Me Artwork – Me Model Image by the wonderful Barssel

The Goddess of the wind is a flighty thing at the best of times.
Digital finger painting (with a mouse), completed through the wee small hours. I’m having trouble sleeping, too many images in my head. Even when I’m asleep, I’m drawing in my dreams. I’m having so much fun experimenting with digital, it’s a new medium for me and I just love it. FEATURED in ‘Creative Cards’ August, 2009 / FEATURED in ‘Lifeline’ August, 2009 /
River Sprite A Sprite might be a spirit; / a River Sprite might be a river spirit. / A mermaid may be a kind of sprite. / ...Then again, what do I know? / I’m just an alien on this planet, / merrily exploring your water, earth and sky, / and languages, foreign to me, still. / —F.A. Moore, Aug 20 2009 Digital Fine Art by F.A. Moore, August 2009 FEATURES 2008-08-22 River Sprite in Digital Artists United 2009-08-21 River Sprite in Abstract Art & Digital Writing This image started as the 2nd part—the tie in, to Isa Rodriguez’ and my ongoing attempt to collaborate on an Exquisite Corpse project. The top one inch of the bottom half was what she sent me, and I created like colors, shadows, bottoms of trees, such that it was difficult to tell where her one inch left off, and my half began. Couldn’t wait to get her full image this morning so that I could snap them together in PSE. However, alas, Isa seems to have lost her file. No PNG, no PSD, nothing has turned up yet. An attempt to recreate ended up wonderful, but with all colors, trees, and shadows offset from the original. Maybe we’re not suppose to be doing corpses. :)) Or, maybe the third time will be a charm. On this piece, while waiting for the top half from Isa, I simply mirrored my “spirit” to the top half and added some blending changes to get the darker, deep-water mirror image. Then overlaid granite on the entire shebang. Looked like a sprite to me, thus the name. It’s interesting to see that in the crook of the neck of the swan (in the top, mirror image), are little birds, in what looks like an egg cracked open. Only a River Sprite could create such unexplained magic! I humbly thank you for being part of my art. Special thanks to stock providers FantasyStock, CAStock, and B-SquaredStock for model, swan, trees, and textures.
