Floral designs and petals inspired by the spring season and Geisha inspired by Japanese history. Geisha belongs to Tomoji
Ok, granted this is a weird one. I found this style in a book of Japanese textile patterns, this from sometime last century, but i can’t remember whether it was 1930’s. 40’s, 50’s or 60’s. Lots of lace patterns, airbrush type style, and looks like a lot of mums and peonies, but i actually got some good magnolia shots last spring, so good enough. But it seems kind of a shame to waste such a gorgeous color opportunity, so heads up for an upcoming color version as well.

Illustrator / 2009 Yesterday morning as I was waking up with a cup of coffee, I heard the song of a robin and decided to use that as inspiration. Spring is just around the corner!
