After quite a hectic, long day, I was finally able to check in on RB at 9:30 pm tonight and absolutely tickled pink to discover that for the first time one of my photos has been featured on the RB homepage!! Thank you RB!! I literally yelled out to my husband, “Pete, come over here quick! Look, look!” This particular photo, Red Tulips & Barn was taken during our 5 year wedding anniversary trip to the Berkshires Botanical Gardens (Massachusetts) last May and this shot was his idea. He said, “honey, I think this old barn with tulips would make some great photos. You should check it out.” This isn’t the first time he’s given me some great “inspiration” – he picked out that Yellow Rose that seems to be so popular. I guess we make a good team. I also want to thank Caren Schwartz for featuring this photo in the Spring & Summer in the North-East USA group. Caren has repeatedly been a supporter of my photography and I really appreciate it. Spring has hit Vancouver Island and the daffodils are now being picked to be shipped East for the Cancer Campaign. I usually paint some daffodils this time of year or tulips..whichever appeals to me. Right now I am painting some white lilies that I photographed last summer and hopefully will have them done soon.
