Stumbled across a great display of daffs today, on my way to visit a gallery in Scottsdale, NE Tas, which has been hosting some of my works. Couldn’t drive past without taking some photos! Looks stunning as a card… or a framed print…just in case you were wondering ;)
After each winter there is the wonderful time when nature awakens. If you can’t wait, use photoshop! This is photoshop work, spring made out of this: don’t remember how many hours I worked on it! :D
This is another one of my photos from 20+ year old negatives. I took this outside of Manchester, Vermont, which is on the southwestern side of the state. The mountain in the background is Mt. Equinox and is reputed to have some “spiritual powers”. I’ve always loved the variety of colors in this scene. /
Please look at the other variations. Thank you!
The fragrance of this delicate, soft yellow blossom is delicious, definitely reminiscent of bananas. I recall when I was a high school senior, my French teacher always brought handsful of these flowers to class and their perfume filled the air with the promise of summer and a break from the books.
Seeming to be lit from within.

The beautiful blossoms of Springtime bring out the best!
I was able to capture this delightful ladybug while she was about her business on a dogwood flower.

Actually after researching it, there are dozens and dozens of falls in the US that are named “Buttermilk Falls”. I guess it’s popular name for a waterfall. This particular one, at the breathtaking Tillman’s Ravine area of Stokes State Forest Preserve in northwestern New Jersey, is a true sight to behold. The waterfalls themselves are a series of smaller falls cascading almost 90 feet down the side of Tillman’s Ravine, which has become the favorite place of mine to shoot in northern NJ. This image was captured at the end of the day after a series of very strong spring storms occurred, so the flows were quite intense. Well I uploaded this twice so this must be the one to upload tonight. Took this a few years back in the springtime in North Eastern New Mexico. Moreno means purple in Spanish and it so fits this valley come springtime in the mountains. / Canon Rebel xti Kiss / 70-300 mm Canon Lens
