Beautiful orange flower in a vase. Great image to hang on any wall.
Pastel, conte crayon, chalk, charcoal on brown butcher paper. / I remember so distinctly the moment I did this. I was living in my old carriage house in Brooklyn, and had a wonderful studio on the ground floor. I was in love with somebody who wasn’t being attentive enough to suit me and driving me nuts. I had been running in circles, upset and in a rage, screaming, crying, ready to kill, and I thought it can’t be me… WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM? he should be all over me! do I look funny?...and well…what the hell do I actually look like? / So I pulled up a chair under a spotlight, set up a big mirror about ten feet away, and hit the paper running with a handful of colors. I think there was something seriously wrong with the guy.
The clouds looked as though they had parted just so the sun could shine through. (I had to crop this photo slightly to cut out the buildings which were ruining the bottom section of the photo.)
this was taken at the Iron Horse Street Festival in my city. / this year is the 14th annual festival. / My city is the railway capitol of canada. / Back then, they used to call trains “the iron horse” / so now we have a festival to celebrate our towns history. / I love going to it. / Lots of venues, rides, concerts, nice people, all right on main street! / This was my first year bringing my camera. / I got some snarky looks from people who know who i am with my photography. / There are alot of teenage girls in my town who have been starting their own photography stuff and thats great but they always give me dirty looks when they see me. I kind of laughed it off, even though it wasn’t necessary. I had fun attempting this. it was my first try. im happy with it. / the model is Alexa. She’s great! So beautiful. I hope you like this. i sure do.
A beautiful sunset gave a spotlight effect of the sun’s rays thru a momentary hole in the clouds! Photo taken: Western Kentucky

The first few images I took of Monument Valley in my 2007 visit. We almost drove right past as the weather was absolute crap. This amazing shaft of sunlight illuminated a couple of rock formations which really stood out. By the time the camera was set and I shot this image it had dimmed a little but you can still see a bit of what I saw. This is a 2 image Panoramic taken with a Nikon D70 and stitched in CS3 Featured in Natural Colour and Light

A young raccoon ventures into the sunlight on a tree branch just a few feet from an office window in Springfield, Oregon. May 2009.
Location: Ottawa Canyon in Starved Rock State Park in Utica, Illinois To me this is what it is all about. I’ll give you a brief self analysis on this one. The corner on the left is dark. The underside of the canyon is dark. I could have made it brighter, but chose against it. / I don’t want every part of the image to be fully exposed. I don’t want every corner lit to match the rest of the image. It is the separation of light and dark to create a mood that I love. I am not always after it, but sometimes I get it, and when I do, I welcome it. Why ruin the mood of an image trying to make everything in the same light. Camera: Canon 5D / Lens: Canon 17-40mm / Filter: Heliopan Thin circular polarizer / Aperture: f22 / Iso: 50 / Shutter Speed: 5 seconds / Weather Conditions: Overcast and cloudy / Vehicle that got me here: 1996 Ford Ranger (just thought I’d throw that in for kicks) / Cost of getting the shot: PRICELESS.

Canon Powershot A400 The amateur photographer is at it again! For 2 days I drove by this on my way to town and it kept calling out to me, “Please take my picture!” So I finally stopped on the way home tonight as the sun was going down. Thanks for putting up with my photographer wanna be shots : ) I just liked the unique perspective of this one and the texture of the hay bale. Simple pleasures!
