This is a dog in San Diego that loves to surf! Very funny – He would run straight back out to do it again and again.
Before my water housing broke, rendering my 20D useless, I used to paddle out on a bodyboard and do a bit of in water photography. One of my favourate things was to try catch the same wave as a surfer and shoot them from behind. This shot was one of my best.

One of the most controversial fights in boxing history. Ali v Liston – 25th May 1965 Around about a minute into the bout Ali connecting with a quick, chopping right to Liston’s head as Liston was moving toward him. The moment ultimately ended the fight and became known as “the phantom punch” as most people ringside did not see it. Many claim that Liston had bet against himself and that he took a dive because as he owed money to the mafia, and some believe that fears for his safety from Nation of Islam extremists forced him to get the hell out of the entire situation quickly.

3rd place in Digital Camera Magazine’s Photographer of the Year 2009 Competition – Destination Everywhere Category! . Over 100 000 entries from over 100 countries. There were 30 placings. I was shocked just getting shortlisted. I’m quite humbled . Last summer I spent living on a boat in the North Pacific on the north west side of The Queen Charlotte Islands in Canada. (left is Graham Islans & right is Hippa) I can’t describe it and I’m one to go on about things. Living with the same 8 people in isolation for 120 days… you need to get away. I spent a lot of time in the kayak. I had never done it before and I fell in love. I kayaked in the ocean. Curious seals befriended me from their cautious distance of about 4 feet. Watching sunsets floating in the middle of nowhere is a priceless experience & I’d often pass up warn dinner to be out there. I quite liked the name of the little plastic vessel. ‘Perception’. That’s what it’s all about for me. this photo is not selective colour edited. it is a full colour photograph. shot with my Canon Rebel XT (that’s x-tra trout, baby!) Look! my very own motivational poster! Coming soon to a gloomy office near you! /
