This lunar photograph was made a little more than an hour before the start of the recent eclipse on Town Beach , Port Macquarie , NSW, Australia. I was all set up with my feet in the wet sand, ready to set off the Timer when I caught sight of this moonlit surfer walking into shot. I could not believe my luck! I waited for him to get further into the scene and ….. here he is! Visit the Moon Shots and Seascapes collection in my BubbleSite Gallery for more moons, salt water, rocks and sandy scenery. Enjoy! This is a dog in San Diego that loves to surf! Very funny – He would run straight back out to do it again and again.
Before my water housing broke, rendering my 20D useless, I used to paddle out on a bodyboard and do a bit of in water photography. One of my favourate things was to try catch the same wave as a surfer and shoot them from behind. This shot was one of my best.
Another shot taken when my water housing and 20D were still operational. This is a mate of mine, Brad.

This shot was taken on our local beach at around 7:30am. I like this shot in particular because at this time of morning people all around the world pack into trains, cars, trams, buses etc and here is this girl and her horse reclaiming that little bit of freedom most of us crave.
