  Hello everybody. Just wanted to check in and let you know I am still around. My family and I moved from Ohio to Kentucky in July, and I have not managed to get back in the swing of things since we constantly have unexpected issues coming up, and I am still trying to get into a routine. Anyways, I wanted to share something with you. As anybody who knows me, I am inspired by photo manipulation. On a couple of stock photo sites, I also sell unedited photogrpahy. I was amazed to find that somebody purchased a photo of my little girl and created an AMAZING and CAPTIVATING piece with this photo. The thing that really touched me is that with all the photo art compostions and photo editing I do, it would have never occured to me to create something like this from this photo.   Why I love my horse Hector! My apologies now if some of you find this boring! / Most non horsey people think I am nuts when I talk about my Hector and how much I love him to bits, and I always try and explain why, but they still don’t get it! / They ask why I keep horses – so below I shall try and explain why !!!! Set the scene: / I keep Hector on a DIY livery yard in the middle of very busy towns/cities Slough and Wexham in Buckinghamshire. To ride we have to do road work on very busy roads with lorry’s, cars, buses etc etc or a small bit of road work which then takes us to two country parks. / In the winter nights we have an outdoor sand school, or some tracks around the edge of the fields on the livery yard to ride on. (riding by moon light as the tracks are not lit up) Why I love Hector so much: / He is handsome, kind, clumsy sometimes! He is my shadow and follows me around. / He trusts me and I trust him. He is always pleased to see me. / He loves water and splashing around in lakes, streams and rivers. He will continuously splash with one leg then stop and splash with the other! I was riding the other night after work around the tracks, and it was a very dark night, but I felt so safe with him, he does not flinch or spook at anything. He has better night vision than me!! / When we are doing road work – he does not have any issues what so ever with noisy buses or large noisy lorry’s driving by him (sometimes they get to close for my liking!) / Hector will walk at or through anything I point him at. We use him as the ‘trainer’ for any young, nervous, spooky horses – they watch him do it and then they generally follow on ok! / Hector is now 10, we got him when he was 4 – unfortunately before me we think some gypsy’s had him and he was beat, as every time you went near his back end he would flinch and run away from you, if you picked up a broom and you was near him he would try to run and back away from you. Now he does not bat an eye lid at any of this at all. He loves cuddles and having the underneath of his tale scratched. I could go on for ages but will not! I hope if any non horsey people read this it gives you an insight into why we love and protect our horses as much as we do, and that they are kind, clever, sensitive, strong animals. :o)

  Hello there. I haven’t really been very creative of late, which has been pretty shit; been having mental problems and life trauma, but its pretty okay right now. But yes, Im back baby! Back with my camera, reunited and uploading onto RB. It’s all good! Yesterday, I effed around with some light painting, and I got this result. / cropped / And today, well tonight, I done some more. My brother :P and this was taken using a strobe light :P / cropped / Im really looking forward to experimenting more, achieving new effects. Hoping you are well Lots of love, Craig xx

  Hi all, just wanted to tell you that on Saturday 16th August 2008, my husband Craig and I got talking to a Lancashire lady whilst we waited to go to the Edinburgh Tattoo, 10.30pm show, so I guess around 9.15pm. Now what was unusual was that as between us we tried to capture a few pictures looking out on to the Royal mile, she captured a strange apparition of a lady getting married in white bridal outfit with the mile as it is….our picture seconds after did not have her in it and no procession of any kind was going on as the police had that area cordoned off for security and crowd control purposes. We were standing on the left of the Royal Mile, in the small yard of the building facing the Hub which was on our left….just wondered of anything similar in the area others might have recorded? Sorry I don’t have the same picture, but for sceptics she was using a 4 meapixel digital camera and didn’t even know how to turn off the flash, as I showed her…so no techno genius either…. spooky eh? lol.

  Those of you who know I went to Aradale Asylum probably wouldn’t be surprised to know that im still going through my pictures. I’m on my new system and its semi-stable for now, so I decided to stretch its legs a bit. On my flickr account: / Haunting: Video 1 It’s really short because im still trying to acquire a better program to make it in than Windows Movie Maker, this very short clip clocked 115MB at upload, only because of the codec, every other format I got coloured squares instead of clear images. Windows Movie Maker of course is not very stable in itself. It was always a half-done attempt at something larger. But still a useful tool if you’ve got the time to put up with multiple freezes and crashes in pursuit of creating your video. Even now i wish I had taken more photos to turn into more movies. I”m determined to get the NIN track working. This one is done to “Piece in the Old Style 1” by William Orbit Depends how video-happy I get as to how much more I do. / Let me know what you think of my short experiment.

  Oh my gawd…. Ive just finished playing with new video editing software, rendered my first clip…. aahh so incredibly happy. So incredibly happy that my computer can run video editing, lightroom, firefox etc all at once and still not use more than 10% of its system…! Please as punch I am indeed. In the coming week/days I’ll upload my progress to Flickr or Youtube, I’ll post here so everyone knows that videos are on their way! I just wish id taken more footage now!

Here it is enjoy: I hope you like it. I hope it won’t give you nightmares. Unless you want nightmares? In that case heres my advice: Eat lots of junk food before bed. Get all hyped up by running around heaps before beddy-byes. Then put way too many dooners on your bed and turn the heat up a little bit. Wear flanel PJ’s. Lay on your back all night keep your body straight with your hands beside your body. Do not turn from this position if you can help it. Keep your spine and neck as straight as possible. If you know how, use the relaxation response method of meditation and slowly relax yourself into a deep trance state. Start thinking about horrible things. Good luck!

  This moring when the alarm went off I recalled a vivid dream. / My co-workers and I were in a room where a woman sent by head office announced that she had been sent to replace our boss. Everyone was shocked and our boss was really upset. The woman then proceeded to go through what our organisation was doing wrong. (Particularly the fact that we were blowing the budget on cappucino’s). The scary thing is, that this morning, our boss announced that he had resigned due to differences with head office!! Which was completely out of the blue and a shock to all. All I can say, is that you can never spend enough on coffee for your employees (and I did protest in the dream that we pay for our own coffee’s from the coffee man anyway). Not enough in the budget for coffee, indeed—Sacrilege!! PS – I told this story to a co-worker on the way to work this morning so I am not making it up – honest.

  I’m chuffed to bits at making my first sale on here of a laminated print. The picture is question was taken on a gorgeous misty morning last October. It was as quiet and serine as it appears on the photo apart from the sound of geese every so often coming back from their travels overseas. You couldn’t see them because of the mist and is was a bit spooky! The mist just hung over the sea, and I’ve never seen the sea so still! I was very pleased when I checked out the pictures on the computer at home. Thanks to the buyer!
