Third Chakra Fire, Ego identity, oriented to self-definition / This chakra is known as the power chakra, located in the solar plexus. It rules our personal power, will, and autonomy, as well as our metabolism. When healthy, this chakra brings us energy, effectiveness, spontaneity, and non-dominating power. This chakra is associated to the colour yellow.
I was meeting with a BUSY ‘Obama Momma’ working on the campaign and being selected as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention here in our great state of Colorado, at Paepke Park in Aspen the other day when my friend’s husband dropped by to watch a little pre-picnic play with mom and toddler prepping for a big Memorial Day Weekend in the warm Spring weather.

A collection of my most colourful and creative artwork. The inspiration for these came spontanously and I work with a playful approach. These are purely from the heart and may speak to your heart. I wanted to raise the question with this collection, why should art work from the heart be viewed as abstract and something to difficult to decipher in this day and age? What does that say about the human race? I present to you Soul Realism.
I especially like the way that preventing wrinkles is given as much weight as preventing spontaneous combustion; no, wait, it gets mentioned first! some iris outside where I used to live. Shot with telephoto lens, a few feet back.. used macro extension of the lens ( is 1:2 at it’s best ) and auto focus. I did convert this one to bw, I think it’s more romantic this way. Any comments or critique are greatly appreciated :)
I just happened to take this picture while waving the camera around and I just seem to love it alot!

While walking in the gardens of Versailles, I spotted this couple canoodling under this beautiful arched path. I loved the combination of verdant green, the long length of the arbor and the silhouette of the lovers at the far end. Nikon D90, 18-105 mm VR lens / F4.5 1/80

/ These two nosey dogs use to give me a barking welcome every time I walked past their place. This was a rare occassion that they just stoped and stared at me. The fact that I had a camera stuck to my face seemed to intrigue them . All is not what it seems in this shot, check out the dog’s eyes. I didn’t notice until I got it up on the PC myself. Enjoy. © 2004 Copyrights to Cas Digital Photography Nikon D70 Photo Kurri Kurri NSW Australia
Life In Technicolor As some of you can tell, i borrowed the title of this photo from a song. As I was listening to the song and browsing photos on my computer, by chance at the same time. I realized that my life is in technicolor, it is a movie, for me and the people around me. And the best way to express this is to let you look through my view finder. And these photos were captured in merely half a heartbeat apart. 50mm AF Nikkor / Spontaneous Portraits You May NOT Display, Print, Copy, Transfer, Save, Or Reproduce Any of These Photos, In Part or In Whole, In This Gallery on Any Medium Without a Written Contract From Derek W © 1997-2009. / FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN LEGAL ACTION
