  • Ink and acrylic on canvas

  • Cowhands come to town, perhaps a trifle stiff legged after all day on horseback. Those who spend some time in the saddle will know the feeling ! In this composition, I used a splatter technique, plus smudged pastel tones along with pen and ink.

  • My passion for music fairly well drives my life. I know for a fact one of the judges does not like this image. I was almost swayed by that. I’ve decided to put it back into the Challenge Cafe competition. / Small Mounted Print Black With Artists Details /

  • The ‘Fringe and Face’ stencil I created early 2008, came to me as a piece in a dream early August 2008 which was similar to this piece. In the dream it was red not purple. Different to many of my other recent works, I was very happy with the final result and I am looking at making another one that will be in red, black, white and greys.

  • Much to Wife’s chagrin I’ve been listening to some Iron Maiden lately and when Can I Play With Madness came on the CD player an idea struck me for an image to go with the song. This image is pretty close to what was in my head so I’m quite pleased with it. There are five images here, including two texture layers. Various blending layers and toning got the effect and a final layer with splatter brushes from Obsidiandawn.com finished it off.
