A colorful droplet splash that reminded me of a candy store.
I actually shot a pellet through the glass, in front of a black paper background, with the camera on timer mode. A home-made switch made with 2 sheets of metal foil triggered the flash when the pellet hit it through the glass, and so the action was frozen. Destroyed 3 glasses to make sure I got at least one good picture, and spent an hour cleaning up the kitchen. The lightning, from a thunderstorm taken out the bedroom window, was added with Photoshop as was the flashpoint above the pepper.
Nature is softer than silk.
This is the last of my older works (I think) / Swan Splash was done about 20 years ago / One of my first pen and ink drawings in this / style. / I have done this piece about 5 times for / exhibitions over the years (different sizes and / slightly different details) but this is the original / that only I have. I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Best viewed large :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens, 5.6f / exposure 1/320 / processed in RAW

An untouched close up(with exposure)of a submerged brige when a few beaver’s dams just collaps a couple of nights ago.I couldn’t drink or even used the water in my house for 2 days.We were not able to go out of our area for a day.It happenned at night and we could hear the raging fload so loud,it was amazing. The firemen were at the bridge watching when I took that close-up.This image is the result of the destroyed bridge, half of it just went along with the water,a very impressive scene to see and to hear because of the dead trees and rocs rolling over the road. The little touches of colors you see are the reflection comming from the lights of the firemen’s truck.I didn’t know if I would have enough light,in fact I didn’t have any idea about the result.I thought about using exposure for the creamy texture….I just remember that my boyfriend kept asking me,how much time you still need,5 or 10 min. and I answered 15 …. :)) He wanted to go to sleep,it was 1 o’clock in the morning. / / /
Another version of the “Dreams” design. / This one has no background so the image of the girl is larger, with more color around the eyes. I also went over some of the lines using photoshop, making the image more crisp. Detail / I tried to use as much “print space” as possible :)

water droplets splashing, some of the droplets were shooting out at a different angle while others were dropping down and this was the result when they crashed. It’ll never happen again LOL. I might crop out the big droplet that’s falling…I can’t make up my mind :) recent retouch / /
