  • Yaroomba dawn – More in the Seascapes Group Canon 5D, 16-35mm at 16mm, f/22, 1/3second, ISO 50. This is the under-exposed by one stop image from the AEB set of three. This has sold quite a few times on redbubble, most recently a laminated print. Other Seascapes /

  • I actually shot a pellet through the glass, in front of a black paper background, with the camera on timer mode. A home-made switch made with 2 sheets of metal foil triggered the flash when the pellet hit it through the glass, and so the action was frozen. Destroyed 3 glasses to make sure I got at least one good picture, and spent an hour cleaning up the kitchen. The lightning, from a thunderstorm taken out the bedroom window, was added with Photoshop as was the flashpoint above the pepper.

  • This was taken after many attempts at trying to capture the dynamics of water. / You have no idea how wet I got during the shooting of this series.

  • An untouched close up(with exposure)of a submerged brige when a few beaver’s dams just collaps a couple of nights ago.I couldn’t drink or even used the water in my house for 2 days.We were not able to go out of our area for a day.It happenned at night and we could hear the raging fload so loud,it was amazing. The firemen were at the bridge watching when I took that close-up.This image is the result of the destroyed bridge, half of it just went along with the water,a very impressive scene to see and to hear because of the dead trees and rocs rolling over the road. The little touches of colors you see are the reflection comming from the lights of the firemen’s truck.I didn’t know if I would have enough light,in fact I didn’t have any idea about the result.I thought about using exposure for the creamy texture….I just remember that my boyfriend kept asking me,how much time you still need,5 or 10 min. and I answered 15 …. :)) He wanted to go to sleep,it was 1 o’clock in the morning. / / /

  • I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Best viewed large :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens, 5.6f / exposure 1/320 / processed in RAW

  • Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II / 35mm lens / aperture priority / flash fired (auto) / shutter speed: 1/250 / ISO 50 / F8 See more photos on Flickr! Buy it!

  • I was messing around with my camera on Mother’s Day and thought I’d try the lovely cliched coffee-mug-splash idea. Amazingly, this heart just pitched up in one of the splashes… especially wonderful since I was using a heart printed mug. I figure it was put there by God just for me, an extra Mother’s Day gift.
