I had an opportunity that I clearly used to my advantage…...while up at Lake Nora over the weekend, a dragonfly in distress and nearly dead happened my way; he spent the good part of an hour letting me photograph him before he gathered up enough strength and then flew off, only to land about 10 feet from me, but out in the water…........I made a wish for him and I know his spirit is watching over all the others as they diligently go about their designated tasks…...I had a very good feeling though as if he was put right there in front of me for this reason…......I got quite a few shots of his entirety, but I enjoy this one more…........ / ______ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. A new image taken just today of a single Dragonfly that found his way into the back window of my car; I don’t drive this vehicle much, as I recently purchased a newer model…..I saw him in the back window and he wasn’t moving….he turned out to be a very coorperative model for several shots; I hope you like them. Follow The Light / Let the Colorful Light guide you / through all that comes your way / Let it be your Beacon and your Strength / and bring you Hope with each New Day By Joyce Dickens ______ All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. My eyes do not see them / My ears will not hear them. / My hands cannot touch them / and they slip through my memory like dreams upon waking. Yet in my soul, I hear the rush of wind through silken wings, / and I feel the elusive touch of something soft upon my face, / tracing the lines of my being….beckoning me…. My heart sees beyond and brings back to me the infinite grace of their presence and I am re-minded again of love. / They are the beauty and compassion that even the blind can see. / They are the song of life that even the deaf can hear. / They are the ones who silently observe us / in the mirror of time / waiting for us / to remember who they are, / and reaching through the veil of human limitations, / to finally remember, / who we truly are.

Based on the following lines from a poem I wrote: / “For through the stillness of forest trees… floats to earth the remnants of angels’ wings”. The feather is a painting (deliberately made to look torn), the rest was created in Photoshop. /

I’m really glad I was able to complete this image. It’s one I’ve been working on for quite some time now and almost scrapped it a number of times. I actually made the decision to trash this and I’d begun working on a new piece but I couldn’t move on until this one was finished. So I went back to it and all of a sudden it just started working for me seemingly out of nowhere. It’s ironic that the decision to scrap the work was all I needed to fuse my brain into making it work. art plays little tricks on me sometimes. :)

The doe took a little time off from busy eating for the photo opportunity, although she didn’t want to give up the tasty colorful leaf. By now everyone who has ever seen my work knows that I’m absolutely “addicted” to develop a deep relationship and establish an intimate communication with mule deer (we don’t have a lot of white-tailed deer around here). Everyday I go out there in the early mornings, hoping to have a close encounter! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

Sophie Shapiro wrote. The collection of work in this calendar are wonderful. The variety of photographs which emphasise a journey, reminding us all that sometimes we need to detach ourselves by moving away from the minutiae and out into the bigger picture. A wonderful collection that you share with us all today! Helping us all to come into the light of understanding and interconnectedness.

My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

Just to add…it is said that when an angel is around you or trying to reach you, a falling feather or a feather on the ground is one of their ways of bringing this to your attention! ... This explains the title of this work :-) i was a bit wearey of making a HDR out of this as the contrast with the feather was already so high but i think it worked out! i really enjoyed making this…!

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. This is why I’d like to do my part to keep nature this way! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

Any moment now I’ll fly away, / when the spirit’s willing / and my wings can catch the wind. / When I drink my fill at this place / and need to find another, / I’ll spread my wings / and soar into the light. / You’ll look for me / and I’ll be gone, / just a memory / in your heart. / With joy and freedom / to brighten my soul / I’ll fly away. amari / ____ I was down on the pier at Laguna, California when I saw this gorgeous pigeon drinking at the water fountain and the light reflected back from the water onto his beautiful chest and magnified its colors. It reminded me of how God takes care of the wildlife of this world. The water of life is not just for people, but for all living things. What an awsome God we have. He gives light and life to everything. / _____ HDR enhanced Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain. All images and writings are the copyright of the artist – © amari, amarica. All Rights Reserved.
