Omena Village Presbyterian Church with autumn sky and fall colors. Omena is on the Leelanau Peninsula, which juts out into northern Lake Michigan forming Grand Traverse Bay. Leelanau County, Michigan has many small historic communities.

This statue of the Madonna stands immortalized in her traditional pose, welcoming the masses into the beautiful Immaculate Conception Church of Harbour Grace. The Church of the Immaculate Conception that sits on the waterfront in modern times is actually the second place of worship to be consecrated on the hallowed ground. The first was a cathedral that was completed in 1870 but was lost in a fire in 1889. The replacement was completed and consecrated on November 8th, 1899. The church is currently undergoing repairs to preserve this important part of Harbour Grace.
