A conchologist would recognize this shell configuration as not quite earthly but then again, most dreams aren’t – and who knows what a shellfish dreams? (4 spirals instead of 1 – a quadruplet!) I love the patterns, colors and reflections in this piece. And it makes me think of the beach; a big attraction to me. This version is slightly cropped on the top from the original. Golden rays of sunlight / Turns to shades of green / The life that it incites / To all it can be seen / / Light finds the leaf attractors / It’s photons grabbed and bound / Sent to the plant’s reactors / That work without a sound / / The chlorophyll then swaps / Some air for carbon gas / And also grows it’s crops / Of sugar in great mass / / This abstract fractal artwork was inspired by the natural energy process of photosynthesis that a plant uses to convert carbon, water, and sunlight into oxygen and the sugars it uses as food. A truly solar powered being that inhabits our Earth. It was motivated by a nickname, ‘Chlorophyll’, that another bubbler gave me due to another artwork I did about this subject. Plant life always inspires many things in my life, as they hold the solutions to many of the problems we impose on nature as a species. / / It was meant to portray the action of the sunlight being converted by the plant, and fueling it’s growth. This fractal was created in ChaosPro, and the gradient was created in the ChaosPro gradient editor. This is a pure fractal with no post-processing. The original is 6000×4800 pixels at 300 pixels per inch, so all the really fine details are not viewable over the internet. / /
