Photographic based digital montage, 2007 (no 2 from series of 3 re-worked). Shot two seperate models & combined them. Draw in & enhanced part of the headpeice, body, dress, added fringe to face, made the features more angular, blew up lips, created cheekbones, reworked branches, filtered wallpaper effects, extended chandelier, added lacework/flower elements, desaturated & added a sepia tone. Approximately 50 Photoshop layers.

Spiral staircase in the Vatican Museum. / I love spiral staircases and this is an amazing example. Definately inspired by nature, when you looked at it you coudn’t help but see the shell like forms appearing. I would love to photograph this with nobody else around, but I actually feel the people add some scale to this piece and I dont mind them being there at all. If I didnt have the Vatican Guards looking over my shoulder I would have been there all day!

SAMHAIN / Entry for The Spirit Walks contest / (Halloween , All Hallows Eve, All Souls Night) Celtic New Year / Beginning of Winter Festival of the Dead,ruled by the Crone aspect of the Goddess. Now in her wise woman aspect she returns to the underworld with the energies of the earth to rest and digest the years growth and lessons.The nights grow longer in the dark grip of winter untill the Sun is re-born at Yule (Winter Solstice) and the Goddess will return re-newed and virginal at Imbolc (Feb 2nd)

A Sago Palm is not a particularly pleasant plant to look at, but the spring fronds when shot with a macro take you into a magical world. You have about 24 hours when they are unfurling like this. / Nikon D80, tripod with Sigma 105mm Macro f13 1/30 ISO640 Viewed more than1,000 times – thanks to all those who have visited!! / Won Circles Challenge for Nikon D80 group and Group Avatar (Dec ‘08) / Won Spiral Challenge for Shapes and Patterns (June 09) Sold as a Framed Photograph, at my first Art Show (Nov 08) and again at Gallery show Feb 09. Sold framed 11×17 to friend, and to a local tradesman after he saw me shooting new growth in one of the sago palms. /

Hand drawn A2 image on cartridge paper with a G-Tec C4 0.4 pen probably took about a year to do, but I don’t pay attention to the time or the drawing until it is nearly complete. Just been looking to buy some more pens and found out the drawn line is only 0.2mm! Featured in Works on Paper winner of the Patterns challenge in Finks in Ink
