An image I’ve been working with I’ve titled “Closed Open Nude” printed this time on two different Asian papers and collaged together with Asian motifs.The primary paper has mango leaf inclusions. The secondary paper is a fragile taupe Unryu. A small square of Japanese block printed calligraphy paper is at the bottom, below that a section from a Chinese money envelope.

(-: Giraffes have long necks, which they use to browse the leaves of trees. The vertebrae are separated by highly flexible joints. The base of the neck has spines which project upward and form a hump over the shoulders. They have anchor muscles that hold the neck upright. An unexpected danger to giraffes in captivity is that, as they are typically the tallest objects in a zoo, giraffes are at increased risk of being struck by lightning. In the wild, this hazard is reduced by the presence of trees.
