Tiffin (snacks eaten during the day) are readily available on the streets of Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. ALL of these were very SPICY and DELICIOUS! (I tried them all!) I was very happy here because for me – the spicier the better! Whenever I get Indian food in Melbourne, I’m often dissapointed – they always try and not ‘hurt’ me with chilli!
Festive bowl filled with a variety of hot peppers
This was a very dull original file, but being digital you can play at being God … so I turned on the street lights, plus a couple of lights in the houses and played with the atmosphere. If only a clipper ship was sailing in …
Sri Lankans take great pride in their cuisine, often taking hours to prepare mouth-watering and colourful meals. It’s the many different fresh herbs and spices and the methods used to prepare them that makes meals so delicious. Rice is the main staple and is usually eaten in some form with every meal. Sri Lankans seem to be accustomed to travellers slightly lower tolerance towards hot and spicy foods and are able to prepare a milder version of just about anything.

Salty coffee… Ok… I think I have to explain it a little….. In German we have a concept about: to put too much salt in someones soup... Which means: to cook so.’s goose, or to rain on so.’s parade, or to spoil so.’s plans or to spoil things for so....... This t-shirt is about putting too much salt in someones coffee... which is an allusion to all the sleaze bags in offices, putting you too much salt in your coffee, those sleaze bags, which you never can trust…..

The Spice Bazaar, (Turkish: Mısır Çarşısı), also known as “Egyptian Bazaar” in Istanbul’s quartier Eminönü is the second largest covered shopping complex after the Covered Bazaar . The building was built by Ottomans as part of the complex of Yeni Mosque and completed in 1660. Rents from the shops and customs duty on the import of spices from Egypt should help pay for the upkeep of the mosque. In the old vaults seduce colorful and nice decorated sweets, herbs and spices such as saffron, cumin, sage, mint, sesame, clove buds, thyme, various sorts pepper, ginger, cinnamon, Turkish sweets, halva, nuts, pistachios, sunflower seeds, almonds, pine nuts and dried fruits such as apricots, figs, dates and much else. © Photo and text by Jens Helmstedt / Profile . Chrome and highly polished metal are a simple lodestone for photographers. This beautifully maintained MG was parked under Princes Bridge a few months ago and the afternoon sunlight was just perfect for a tight frame showing the distinctive grille, lights and bumper bars. I was also intrigued by the way the light shimmied across sections of the hand-crafted metal, creating reflections of different intensity. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way.
