North end of Maroubra Beach, where I lay and read so many Readers Digest Condensed books, in my teenage years.
Digital collage, mixed media, acrylic painting photography and scans of plant bits and pieces
I’d like to thank the model for his time and patience as a model. I was trying for the look of a sailor washed up on the beach.
Studly Wilcocks-Lusher III knew one thing for certain: NEVER pass up an opportunity to party. Even if Incognita spent the entire festive season locked up with her diatom collection, he was determined to celebrate.

A trip on a river in India.. I was coming down after a day of bliss and sun looking up, I felt spent and ‘scattered’..

Acrylic and oil on canvas. A volume of emptiness / ached into her ears / breathless through bone / asking each hair quivering breath / to listen the quiet was a tearing / beyond death a merge with all that had ever been her body sagged into ether…......
Taken in Woodbridge, England with diana+ camera, out of date kodak portra film and scanned from negative to bring out all of the grain and enhance the dust and vintage look. This was the first film that i had run through the camera, I was pretty happy with the results.
Bouganvillea bud on slate. The warmth and richness will tire soon….
A painting on plastered canvas board. / This is what a cyclist’s life is all about -we choose to spend our time behind bars -on the outside! This is on a tee shirt that’ll be available soon from www.apresvelo.com I’ve put “bars” made up from tyre tracks on one side, a prisoner number and a prison stamp to give it a Prison-issued-garment look. / ‘
I’m not one to photograph flowers that are on the way out,,, however I chose to capture this very dried up Hydranger ,,, cropped the photo in half,,, to enthasize it’s discarded & spent life (hence the title) ,, a high contrast gave this a high key effect. MAY 2009 featured in the group OUTSIDERS

A dandelion head after all the seeds are gone.
As the sun was starting to set after a long day, I happend to notice this flower looking frail and spent. Even though its day is almost over, I find it more beautiful than the rest. Perhaps it is because I pray that as I continue to get older too, people will always see and remember the inner beauty in me. Hope that doesn’t sound a bit dramatic, but that’s what I know. :-) / / /

I really have to admit this is one of my favorites in the whole bunch. This precious & sentimental portrait just says so much. It needs no words. I’d like to know what you like about it! Smiles Leilani Perdido Key, FL Florida USA
While checking out potential gardens for next year’s Green Valley Gardeners’ Garden Tour, I came across some spent lilies in one homeowner’s garden. I found the sculptural look of these blossoms very captivating. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ 28.
Was he a writer, a father, a business man, a teacher, a doctor or just a simple man? Whoever he was, he spent many hours at this desk by candle light writing and collecting his thoughts. He had no computer, no electrical light, no cell phone or modern conveniences. This is the way things were.
I wait by the sea / we’ve never met / but our souls have been entwined / for centuries long / Your spirit spins through my heart / and through my core / like a cleansing rain / that fills the crevices left by time / Like music, you breath deep into me / sweeping away the bruises of life / with your love / I feel you when I close my eyes / and listen to the sound / that makes my heart sing yet yearn / for your presence / upon, within, around me / We may never meet / but I know you’re there / in this life / ....or another I wrote the poem first, but felt the need for an image to go with it, so here it is – this is a reworked version of Voyager Dreaming.
