I was at a bbq last night out in the desert.. lots of great food and a great camp fire. I couldn’t help watching everyone and notice the obvious differences in the fascination of the fire from the kids and the adults. It became obvious how the magic in most things in life can get lost as we grow older… / I think perhaps, I was the exception to the rule as I sat playing with my camera, mystified by the firelight!

Experimental – Not sure what this is to do with yet. I have been looking at photographs of human remains eg from catastrophic events eg Hiroshima Pompeii Bosnia. I have been working on a series about crime scene photos and wanted to extend the idea. I have so far shied away from using people as think they would be problematic in many ways. I’m possibly investigating what makes an “evidence”photo. Any feedback would be most welcome. I’d also like to hear what you thing works better – B & W or color

this was done last year and is one of the things im submitting from last year. y’see i kinda forgot to document all my big things so i did yesterday :D This was the 3rd piece. / fun fact, it was next to impossible to apply more than one layer of pastel to this. once the first lot of pastels were smudged on, any further would knock it all off again _’. A2, Black primed paper with pastel. no black added to the image at all. all erased.
