  • A young performer in Chiang Mai taken by stage fright and needing her reassuring friend. The performance seems to have a very local audience, the parents of the performers, but all the tourists were mesmerised by the beauty and quality of the show. A lot of very talented young people, and local dances…

  • Although this image is available as a large print (due to RedBubbles settings), my gut feeling is that the quality of this image is only good up to a medium print…:-). Regards Neil

  • “Mr Wegg, if you was brought here loose in a bag to be articulated, I’d name your smallest bones blindfold equally with your largest, as fast as I could pick ‘em out, and I’d sort ‘em all, and sort your vertebrae, in a manner that would equally surprise and charm you.” – Mr. Venus, Articulator – from the book Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens Stock: Bird: Archistock http://archistock.deviantart.com/art/Creepy-Bird-77455534 / Surgeon’s stuff: Lockstock http://lockstock.deviantart.com/art/Surgeon-s-Table-01-10250561 / Hat: Peace-of-art http://peace-of-art.deviantart.com/art/Two-Top-Hats-61892310 / http://www.sxc.hu/photo/546034 My own stock: Foxstox http://foxstox.deviantart.com/art/Abandoned-Farmhouse-83028054 / textures, all else – are mine. ©2007-2008 Aimee Stewart, Foxfires

  • Nobody suspects that behind his well groomed, smart and bespectacled exterior that he has been touched by the unseen powers of the cosmos and now with the aid of his special glasses he sees the world with super “x-ray” artist vision. I’ve always liked this one.. not sure why though. He is the artistic equivalent of Clark Kent.. any minute now he is going to rip open his shirt. Are you really an artist ? Click here to find out

  • I’m 53, and as obsessed with photography now as I’ve ever been. I’m blessed by having wonderful family and friends, whom I will defend ferociously if need be. I try to learn new things all the time, but feel I’ll never know much. As every day passes, it seems I know less…..My eyes are blue and my hair is grey. I don’t wear make up nor dye my hair, my family probably wouldn’t recognise me if I did. I love seeing new art and writing, each day brings me new joys here on the bub. I’m nothing special to most, but very special to those that matter, and that’s all anyone can ask, imho. Who are you?

  • Featured in the group Parrots Only in July 2009 / Featured in the group Top Shelf Wildlife & Nature Art in June 2009 The Spectacled Parrotlet (Forpus conspicillatus) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is found in Colombia, Panama, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest. Their name comes from the blue feathers surrounding the eye in male birds (as in this photo), making it look as if he wears glasses. The wing feathers and rump is also blue in the males. The females, like those in most parrotlet species, lack the blue coloration. They are highly gregarious and are seldom seen in groups less than 20. They are very skiddish and easily spooked thus making it difficult to capture. I was fortunate to be able to single this one out of the group for this special portrait image…and he obliged! This was taken with the Sony DSC-HX1 with a 1.7 Telconverter lens and was captured in the José Celestino Mutis Botanical Garden, Bogotá, Colombia / Other exif data includes (1/500s f/5.2 at 100.0mm iso125)
