  • i’ve come to the conclusion, for the most part / it’s best not to speak

  • You don’t have to be a rampant vegan animal lib militant to take up the cause against vivisection. This is a needlessly cruel UNNECESSARY practice that anyone with an ounce of humanity about them should revile from. But mumbling “that’s disgusting” isn’t going to change the situation. Declare yourself on this issue and protest where you can – even if that’s simply by raising awareness by wearing T-shirts like this one, or taking small personal actions, like boycotting products made by companies that are known to test on animals and letting them know your attiude by email or letter. And on a related issue, buy free range eggs and meat only. Battery farming is an abomination as appalling as vivisection. Besides, free range produce is far better quality.

  • This image was taken yesterday in a pet store in Provo, Utah. Panasonic DMC-TZ5.

  • This was shot in Hosier Lane, in Melbourne’s central business district, about a fortnight ago. I’ve shot in the laneway before, but when I walked down it on this day, I couldn’t help noticing there were about six other people with their cameras, undeterred by the drizzle on a windy, cold afternoon. Hosier Lane is a narrow thoroughfare dating back to Melbourne’s early development, but it has been transformed by urban art into what I call “a street of a million images”. Just when you think you’ve seen the most striking piece of art, another one forces you to re-evaluate. If you look really carefully at the full-size version of this image you’ll actually notice that this is actually a doorway and you can see a small silvery lock in the dead-centre of my frame. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F6.7, 1/30 sec, ISO 400, 34mm. Featured in THIS IS RELEVANT, August 2009. Featured in THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT, August 2009. Featured in 60’s GLORY, September 2009. 116-8778

  • Changes are frightening. We leave the safety and security of the known for the unknown. If we fight change, we develop energy blockages in our life. Life doesn’t flow as it should any more. Free flowing energy is joyful. Free flowing energy is freedom. Love replaces fear. Abundance flows. / Empty yourself and let the universe fill you. You need to reconnect with what excites you and what stimulates you. It has moved and will continue to move, simply follow your excitement and joy, and you will be in a state of constant evolution. So if you feel blocked in some area, move to another one where there is flow, where there is effortless excitement. My recent trip to the northern wilderness filled me with inner peace and opened my heart to all that the universe has to offer me. / NO – not born again, just got in touch with the universe.
