  • Most female dogs have their first estrous cycle between 6 and 12 months, although some larger breeds delay until as late as 2 years. Females experience estrous cycles biannually, during which her body prepares for pregnancy, and at the peak she will come into estrus, during which time she will be mentally and physically receptive to copulation.( wikipedia.org)

  • This little guy is one of many stray cats in Athens. We found him with a group of other cats in the Anafiotika district. He was absolutely tiny, and yet appeared to not have a mother or siblings nearby. I just wanted to take him home and look after him! Like most of the other cats we saw, he is clearly in need of proper care. The state of his right eye suggests he has cat flu. If you want to know what volunteers are doing to help these cats, visit Ninelivesgreece. They do not have a facility for international donations as yet, so any sales of this work will be donated to SPCA international where I am sure the money will be put to very good use. Taken with a Fuji Finepix S5700. Featured in Street Cats. Feel free to view my other Greece cats

  • A kitty at the Nspca which still needs a good home, we have 400 Cats on Location and another 300 in Foster Homes, also 200 dogs are here. Owners just dump their cats here, there are some horrible storries about the Cats which are to horrible to talk about, I am pretty sure you can imagine. The NSPCA is a No Kill Shelter otherwise I would not do the photography there. Las Vegas is a very fast moving City with 2 million residents and alot of them found out that they have a gambeling problem and leave or just can’t take care of their Pets anymore. 6000 people move into Las Vegas each month and 3000 move out. So the 3000 that move out don’t want to take their Pets. Please Please here me all of you out there, if you want to get a Pet make sure you want the responsibility, and if you are Allergic go on line and find a pet that fits your livestyle, pets have feelings just like us, even though some of us don’t think so. A lady came in the room to get her a kitty and she was focused on this big guy but when she tried to pick him up he did not like that at all and got upset so I told her why not take the one that is attached to my neck lol….she is extremely friendly and very loveable….so long story short Kitty was adopted a few minutes later after she fell in love with her new owners hair and kept chewing on it. / A happy ending All proceeds will got to the NSPCA / The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
