Taken at Captains Cottage Museum in Murray Bridge. I thought their grouping altogether was just marvelous – producing lots of lines. I wondered if they were used by the same workman, or were collected from various different places.

As part of the massive Yangtze River Dam project, displacing hundreds of thousands of chinese from their river bank homes, is also the need for new bridges spanning the smaller goreges. this one was about to receive a new section towards completion.

Along the Yangtze river in China there are old and some new bridges required by the new dam. This one was eye appealing in color and structure.

Andy is a hardworking mechanic quite often working into the early hours of the morning. The first time i met him, through his lovely wife Amanda, i knew i had to photograph him as he had such a perfect face for B&W work. It was fun working with him and thank him for being such a good sport!! :0) Canon Eos 400D 18-55mm ISO 400 1/10 f/5.6 RAW converted to B&W some dodging & burning.

Yesterday I reported the swarming of thousands of these beautiful creatures in the Mount Burr Forest in the South East of the State. This lot were clustered around the nut on a bolt holding the side plate onto a powerpole. Interestingly I went back today and nearly all of the tens of thousands had disappeared back to wherever they came from. What a magical twenty four hours this was. Thanks to Biggzie (see his site for some great images) I can now tell you that they are the: Common Spotted Ladybird / Harmonia conformis Canon 400D 18 – 55 lens with speedlight.
