Welcome to the Land of RedBubble…….Beware of the guardian of “The Land” as he keeps a stern watch and allows only red bubbles to enter. The guardian always conseals himself within the majestic formations which protect the magical land. There are many “redbubblers” and they are an elite group of superbly talented artists. These artists offer a wide variety of arts including but not limited to digital art, paintings, photography, (both film and digital) poetry, and other writings. All artists are welcome to this unique community, and all that is asked is that those wishing to enter provide quality art for the rest of the world (and other redbubblers) to view and purchase. The guardian will welcome you with open arms and help you promote and sell your art if you become a “RedBubbler”. If your art is your passion, do yourself a favor and become a member of redbubble.com; you will not regret that / decision! / / / ____ All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Old Buildings are fun to explore you never know what you are going to see.
Anne Morrow Lindbergh wrote in her classic little volume, Gift from the Sea, the following inspiring words: ”. . . it is only in space that beauty blooms. Only in space are event and objects and people unique and significant—and therefore beautiful. A tree has significance if one sees it against the empty face of sky. A note in music gains significance from the silences on either side. A candle flowers in the space of night. Even small and casual things take on significance if they are washed in space, like a few autumn grasses in one corner of an Oriental painting, the rest of the page bare.” I thought of Anne Lindbergh’s wisdom when I saw this little tree on the Oklahoma prairie, its form taking on added beauty and significance “against the empty face of sky.”
Location, location, location. This building on Central Avenue near downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, is soon to give way to a new condominium. Pity. It will probably have rooms and walls and be all closed in. I like the open feeling it has now. See also: / / Beauty in Ruin / / Urban Blight / / Modern Ruins / / On The Fence / / Pink Unloved
