  Be silent sweet galaxy of Saturn, / for although we burn, / we yearn. / We yearn for this little ship’s merry song. / A song we may hear nevermore, / because on the charts, / it has slipped to number four. / The above words are my own and the image inspired by the the title of the short story by Anne McCaffrey, “The Ship Who Sang”. / Created in Photoshop with major elements created in Bryce 3D and a portion of a photograph used for the spaceship. Involved some fifty layers, many effects and a few enjoyable hours to put together.

  FLYING REALLY HIGH

  THIS SHOT STARTED OUT WITH A CON TRAIL COMING OFF THE BACK OF A BOING 757. AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT I THINK THE JET IS, IT IS VERY HARD TO SEE, EVEN WITH THE ORIGINAL PHOTO EXPOSURE. THE ONLY THING THAT IS FOR SURE ARE THE CON TRAILS. ANYWAY, I ADDED THE FULL MOON FROM MY PHOTO FILE, AND THEN I ADDED THE SMOKE COVERED SUN IN THE LOWER LEFT, THEN I ADDED A DIFFERENT SUN IN THE UPPER LEFT. IT MAKES THE JET LOOK LIKE HE IS “FLYING REALLY HIGH”, TO THE POINT OF MAYBE LEAVING THE PLANETS ATMOSPHERE. MAYBE THAT ISN’T A CON TRAIL, BUT THE SOLID ENGINE BOOSTER EXHAUST FROM A SPACE SHUTTLE. WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO THINK IT IS, THIS WAS AN EXPERIMENT IN SCALE AND POSSITIONING TO TRY AND TRICK THE EYE INTO THINKING IT IS AN ACTUALL PHOTO. HAHAHA
