The size, dimension of the known and/or unknown Universe I just cannot comprehend. / I know I’m not alone in that. People have been asking questions on this subject for a long time. And probably will be asking for a long time yet. And as for a definition . . . well can it be defined? What is it exactly? A collection of things (planets, galaxies, suns, nebulae, comets and living things etc) in a vacuum. There lies another question. Other lifeforms?. Sentient lifeforms? We have SETI. Fabled little green men from Mars. Our imagination is rife. Although, even in our imaginations we still anthropomorphise largely when it comes to alien lifeforms. They don’t have to be carbon-based necessarily. There could be silicon-based life for example. Who knows? / But I digress. Back to “Big Picture”. The Universe. Why? How? What caused its being exactly? I know there was the “Big Bang” many millions of years ago. The cause of that well . . . I confess I don’t know. Was there a purpose there? An outcome? Questions aplenty. And what about black holes? The speculation and theory as to time travel and parallel universes? I digress again. / Big questions. Not enough answers yet. / We do know that it is governed by physics. On a scale so huge it is mind-boggling. And the fact that it is still expanding. And expanding in what?? Another question. Does that mean that the Universe is contained/inside something else. If so, the dimension of that unknown thing/container/object must be even bigger than the Universe itself. Again we are talking about mind-boggling dimensions and the distances involved. / Will we ever learn the answers to those questions? / Assuming there are answers to be had. / I know there are many indefinable concepts, perceptions, things that we encounter in our day-to-day lives but the dimension, size, function, purpose of the Universe is just one huge unknown. / / The mind boggles . . .

Love the song and the idea. Here it is. “THE Beatles song Across The Universe will be the first song to be beamed directly into space next week, NASA has announced. The Beatle Sir Paul McCartney said it was an “amazing” achievement and John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, has called it the “beginning of a new age”. The transmission of the song over the space agency’s Deep Space Network on Monday will mark the 40th anniversary of the day the band recorded the song. The song will be aimed at the North Star, Polaris, 431 light years away from Earth, and it will travel across the universe at a speed of 186,000 miles a second, NASA said. In a message to the agency, McCartney said: “Amazing! Well done, NASA! Send my love to the aliens. All the best, Paul.” And Ono said: “I see this as the beginning of the new age in which we will communicate with billions of planets across the universe.” Anything listening out there would hear the lyrics, which include the chorus line: “Nothing’s gonna change my world.” Lennon’s poetic verse lyrics include: “Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box; they tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe.” Fans have been invited to take part by playing the song around the world at midnight on Monday GMT – 11am on Tuesday in Sydney – the same time it will be transmitted by NASA. It will mark 50 years of NASA, 45 years of the Deep Space Network and 50 years since the founding of Explorer 1, the first US satellite. A NASA spokesman said many of the senior scientists and engineers involved in the project were among the Beatles’ biggest fans. A spaceship lands on Earth. After 2 days the commander chooses to finally speak to the people of Earth. Every television station around the world broadcasts the speech live. When the commander of the ship speaks, it is transmitted (through satellite) in every language necessary. The message he has for Earth is that they (the Aliens) have come to put Earth on trial. They have watched people kill each other and commit terrible crimes. So they decided to come do something about it. They came to find one man who would represent Earth and speak for the planet. 2 days ago they received a sound wave that brought a great deal of interest to them. It was music created 20 years ago! And it took that long for the sound waves to reach them. The commander of the ship decided to appoint the person whomever made the music to be the representer for Earth. He announced that the man was called 7th Son. The Aliens have decided to give 7th Son only 24 hours to make an Album and defend Earth. If they are not satisfied with the outcome, “They will destroy Earth!” The 7th Son accepted the responsibility and took on the mission. He only asks of one favor: for great artist to be resurrected and help with the album, such as John Lennon, 2Pac, Easy E, Curtis Mayfield, Bauch, Chubby Checker, Dina Washington and many other great artists from many many years ago. “And the wish was granted!” Once finished, the whole album will be played worldwide via satellite. Will the 7th Son save the Earth or does man deserve to parish? Listen and see! NEBULA JOURNAL~Lift Off 3067 / Warpspeed 1, 3067 We are finally off, “GETTING THESE DAM ROBOTS ORGANIZED IS MURDER!” So we got XR16, Chipmonk, his brother Niff, Boxtox and somehow Cloey got on board. It’s going to take 10.5 lightyears to reach Earth, hope it doesn’t shock them (the Earthlings) too much. I wonder if the V’s got there already… Can’t let them accomplish their plan. This Pulsar1180 is pretty nifty; just enough room for us and most importantly, it fits the Mecca Z90 in the back. The Earthlings are really gonna big bang out when they see that machine. I’m sure they will be flying them soon. Well we are all trapped in this space shuttle for a good 1000 plus years so we mind as well jam to some tunes; I happen to catch some soundwaves on the way (65 years worth to be exact). “Hey, guess what” we all decided to make one of those Hip albums everyone on Nebula talks about. Well, I figure, we have all it takes to make one: Boxtox on programming, XR on the beats (though he cannot talk) and the Clemotite brothers provide just pure entertainment. We have already given the Earthling our ideas for the album and he should be putting together an album cover by now. I wonder what year it is there. Cleoy thinks it is around 2006 in Earth years. man, why did she get assinged to this mission, all she does is flirt with me, saying that Nebula girls are the best. I mean, they have six arms man! But I’m not nearly curious.
