This interesting lady with the great leg spread is a fine example of the Tetragnatha species (Long Jawed Spider). The photograph was made alongside a rainforest creek on a friend’s property at Kundabung, between Port Macquarie and Kempsey, on a great summer day. Getting the best focus and depth of field was extremely hard to do and I was being attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes. We had a beautiful sunset that evening, the clouds were spectacular. I was stuck at home and couldn’t get out but wanted to document them so decided to use them as the main focus of this piece with a little added interest of myself and my backyard surroundings.

I feel so out of place all the time, well almost all the time, depends who you’re with. I feel like I should have been this age i am now but either in the year 3000 or higher, or some time in the mid 60’s, then die around a decade later. I’m just trapped in this strangers body, in this strangers world, in this strangers time… Ever feel nostalgic about the past before the past has even past? . . The shot is a little busy, but i like it, an array of the history that shapes this world, some of my favourite records/bands/artists (well of the few that i own) are the ones with the vinyls showing, and the #1 favourtie being played. / (oh, and the spiked up Mohawk was just for fun) / . . A lot of cloud about at Sunset today on the Gold Coast with the result of a blue sky and a blue river. The river’s looking a little murky but the fish don’t seem to mind it so far. / Familiar spot over-looking the Nerang River towards Surfers Paradise.
