Couple walking hand in hand on the beach.
“Pumpkin Soup” was featured on the Homepage and in the group “Halloween”.
Last month I took a nice photo of river rocks in a Zen garden, then today I applied about ten PhotoShop processes until I thought the soup was cooked.
I know I know let the poor man eat his dinner. / Just one photo pls sir and then I’ll go away.
Another in the fairytale series. A different photographic approach this time, which I plan to try out again with my next shot based on the Rupunsel tale. My dear friend Hilda was an excellent model, she posed so well I have many great shots from that day. But I have chosen this one for the series because I love the look on her face, kinda of guilty and not pleased at being sprung making soup out of those pumpkins she’s supposed to use to turn into coaches for young lasses to attend balls in. /

Male Model: Letter M Alphabet Soup Group. When I was in Covent Garden in London recently I was captivated by this male model and a photographer shooting in the upper gallery of Covent Garden. I was only a few feet away, so when I raise my Nikon D700 to snap a few myself, I got some strange looks from them both:)) Hope I don’t steal anyone’s thunder. But I just felt some of the shots I snapped were worth sharing with you all. This one’s been colour popped, his dress was quite traditional about a hundred years ago. Time sometimes stands still in London. /
From the story of Augustus, in Slovenly Peter (Struwwelpeter) ...when the soup is put on the table, / He screams, as loud as he is able- / “Not any soup for me, I say! / O take the nasty soup away! / I won’t have any soup today!

The red hot pepper looks just like a Red Habanero, however this pepper is very very hot and used for soup and strews in Ghana and other West African, South American ,countries. This variety is also popular in Latin American countries, because the pretty 2 in. long red peppers offer the same strong aromatic essence and flavor.
Summer is not too far away and this soup is a great way to consume that flood of tomatoes when you grow your own. Come to think of it, this tastes great anytime, so why wait? Cream of Tomato and Basil Soup 1 Onion / 4 Garlic Cloves / 1 Long Sweet Red Pepper / 12 Medium Size Tomatoes / 2 oz or 50g Butter / 250ml Chicken Stock / 75ml Double Cream / 1 Desert Spoon of Dried Basil / Some Fresh Basil / ¼ Tsp Ground White Pepper / 1 Level Tsp Sea Salt Peel and chop the garlic cloves and the onion. De-seed and chop the long sweet red pepper. Melt the butter in a large saucepan and add the onion, garlic and sweet red pepper. Cover and simmer gently stirring now and then until the onions are soft – about ten minutes. Meanwhile, cut the tomatoes in half, splitting where the stalk was. Cut out a V to remove the hard stalk remnants and roughly chop the tomatoes. Add them to the other ingredients and bring everything back to a simmer. Add the dry basil, salt and pepper, cover, and let it all stew gently for about 20 minutes stirring occasionally. Add the chicken stock and simmer gently for another ten minutes. Remove from the heat and now blend all the ingredients in a liquidiser or with an electric hand blender. Return it to the saucepan, taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Stir in 50ml of double cream saving 25ml for presentation. Serve with some torn fresh basil leaves and a swirl of cream. Revel in the taste, consume luxuriously then relax for ten minutes.
