My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

The Path in wonderland. / I Love this image a lot , Spiritually i would call it / ” The road less traveled ” which is also a title of a book that i enjoy reading. / —-—-—-—-—-—— Sally Omar / got inspired by my work and wrote this amazing Poem to go with this Image ,Thank you sally / —-—-—-—-—-—- THE PATH There is The Path of the unknown / Where I walked all alone / No one there by my side / Afraid to run wanting to hide / But as I walked there was such peace / All my fears suddenly ceased / I felt the hand of God calling to me / And the trees and the clouds guiding me / I walked this Path and felt no fear / Knowing that our Maker was near / I prayed aloud wanting Him to listen / Asking him what was my mission / I heard a Voice say down to me / Be a good person and one day you’ll see / A Heaven that is beyond reverie / You shall be honored at the Gate / Where your Lord and God await / So turn around it’s not your time / Live your life and you’ll do fine / When you’re ready for this Wonderland / I will be there to hold your hand.

I had a dream, / A dream so profound / That written words could not express it, / Only tears; / No verbal language could convey it, / Only visions. / This dream spoke in music, it played out in light, / It flickered and danced in emotional tremors / That originated from a source beyond the heart. It manifested within me but not of me / And hovered freely beyond me. / Elusive, I tried to grasp its full meaning, / But could only see it when I closed my eyes, / I could only feel it, when I let it go. / The dream had wings and I felt / The rush of air as it lifted me. We were as we were meant to be – / Released from the heavy chains of our humanity, / Risen above the petty materialism and power struggles / That we once thought defined us. / We had relinquished the ironies of our need for separation from others / That wrestled constantly with our deepest yearning for belonging and unity, / We had softened into our connection with the Earth / And felt her heartbeat as our own, / We had begun to tread more tenderly upon the face of / The one who sustains us, / And remembered again, / To honour the beauty that she held up in her mirror. / Our recognition grew in the knowing that what we saw in our world / Was but a reflection of what we held inside, / Of Who we truly are, / And that the choice between fear and love was our very own, / Not the whim of a distant God. In this moment, we had grown wings, / And through the very lightness of our awakening…. / We had reached beyond our human limitations / And soared free.

Acrylic on canvas with computer art. I have always felt a strong connection to anything arabic or african and the vast knowledge and wisdom that women have held in those cultures is passed through the collective for us to garner… THE INTUITVIE MIND LEADS THE LIFE, / WHETHER WE ACKNOWLEDGE IT OR NOT. / IT SENDS OUT SPORES OF ENERGY & EMANATIONS / THAT RETURN TO US AS FEELINGS & INTUITIONS…

I am more / than the sum of these wounds, / though they threaten to engulf me. / Yet sometimes, the wounds seem greater than I, / and they drag me back into / the raw and ragged edges of memory, / where pain casts a dark shadow beside me. / Within me the hands of fate have carved / a well so deep that at times there seems / NO way out, / and I claw the walls with bleeding hands and cry for release. Is this all I am? / Is this the meaning to my existence? / Is this what I came here for? Deep within I hear the whisper that tells me to look, / there IS more. / This self same well that struggles to contain my sorrow and incubate my fears, is the same vessel that would hold all my love, / even all the love of this world, / and emanate an effervescent light of joy from its depths. / Yet I pass through it without realizing I have been a prisoner / of my own choosing. How doggedly we hollow out this well, and fill ourselves with what we know, or think we do, / how blindly we allow it to define who we are, / and sound out the rhythm of our being…. / but as deep as the pain cuts darkly, / and the wound gouges out a hollow so black, / so much deeper is that place within that might burst with love and joy, an empty space resounding with potential / and the promise of healing and truth. / IF only we could realize we are more, / than that which we let overwhelm us. I was walking through the forest and saw a red glow ahead of me in the shadows….. there was a bright red circle on a fallen tree and it drew me to it. I could not believe how bright this red wound was, on this tree, a gaping, raw, bloody hole, and it made me weep inside for all living things. This is the sight, the image, that made me think more about my own woundedness, and perhaps the wounds that we all carry and too often lose ourselves in. /

The bridge reminds me of an emotion of solitude, which is not to be confused with loneliness. The former leads to an internal peace and being one with nature and oneself while the latter was a feeling of being forced to be alone, deprived of freedom and choice. I used to call this photo “Peaceful Bridge” until a young patient of mine (at the time she was nine years old) explored the difference between solitude and loneliness. When the image was presented to him as an illustration, he exclaimed, “Oh, solitude is peace, inner peace!” And the true title of the piece was born. My eyes do not see them / My ears will not hear them. / My hands cannot touch them / and they slip through my memory like dreams upon waking. Yet in my soul, I hear the rush of wind through silken wings, / and I feel the elusive touch of something soft upon my face, / tracing the lines of my being….beckoning me…. My heart sees beyond and brings back to me the infinite grace of their presence and I am re-minded again of love. / They are the beauty and compassion that even the blind can see. / They are the song of life that even the deaf can hear. / They are the ones who silently observe us / in the mirror of time / waiting for us / to remember who they are, / and reaching through the veil of human limitations, / to finally remember, / who we truly are.

The doe took a little time off from busy eating for the photo opportunity, although she didn’t want to give up the tasty colorful leaf. By now everyone who has ever seen my work knows that I’m absolutely “addicted” to develop a deep relationship and establish an intimate communication with mule deer (we don’t have a lot of white-tailed deer around here). Everyday I go out there in the early mornings, hoping to have a close encounter! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

Sophie Shapiro wrote. The collection of work in this calendar are wonderful. The variety of photographs which emphasise a journey, reminding us all that sometimes we need to detach ourselves by moving away from the minutiae and out into the bigger picture. A wonderful collection that you share with us all today! Helping us all to come into the light of understanding and interconnectedness.

The soul has a journey that might also be called a quest. Each of us has one and no two are alike. We are unique beings created to last forever. This work represents The Spirit, The Living Soul. The Soul cannot be fathomed, it is bright and energetic, filled with a searching, reaching out, a brilliant vibrant light in the darkness. Genesis 2:7: And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Luke 1:46: And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, / Luke 1:47: And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Matthew 16:26: For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 22:37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Mark 12:30: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. John 12:27: Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Acts 2:23: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: / Acts 2:24: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. / Acts 2:25: For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: / Acts 2:26: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: / Acts 2:27: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. / Acts 2:31: He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. Romans 13:1: ¶ Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 1Thessalonians 5:23: ¶ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. James 5:20: Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. / ______ Digital fractal art created with Apophysis, edited with Photoshp and Micrografx.
