  • I was really lucky to get a second-hand DSLR (Sony Alpha 100) in mint condition at an unbeatable price this past weekend – and so my journey into DSLR photography begins, I’m looking forward to it… This was one of my first shots with the new camera – texture by Ghostbones.

  • This was taken with my Sony Cybershot DSC-T100. I love this picture because it lets you see how close the dragonfly let us get to him. Mitch, my boyfriend is playing with my Lumix. He got some pretty good shots, too! • Powerplants stripped from dozers and excavators piled up at RAF Folkingham, awaiting repair or more likely disembowelment for spare parts. Hunkered down from the bleak wind, and shielding the lens from rain with my glove, I had a feeling it would all be worth while. • When I see a pair of mallard ducks, it is usually the male that catches my eye because of the lovely colors and the bright green head. However, this time the lady mallard put on a show and definitely got all of my attention. Taken on Lake Lure, North Carolina. / Sony Alpha300, Minolta Maxxum 100-300AF zoom.

  • Squirrel enjoying a morning on a limb of a Jack Pine on Lake of the Woods, Ontario. Sony a300 with minolta 500 af mirror reflex lens. /

  • Can’t we all just get along?

  • Looking across to the ocean/river/town lookout at Guilderton on the Indian Ocean coast some 100 kms north of Perth, Western Australia. The colour of the Moore River is caused by a very high iron content and it hasn’t really changed at all in the 40 years that we’ve been coming up here. / I took this last Monday – 9th November 09 – with my newly purchased Sony DSC R1 set to f11 at 1/60th sec. and with a cp filter protecting the lens.
