I suggest steering clear of this guy. / Click here to see why!
My daughter had a blast trying to get this fidgety pup to sit still. A thousand treats later, she got the shot! A fun, but tiring afternoon. She entered the photo in a grocery store contest. We’ll see!
Just a photo of little figurine in my courtyard at home

On April 5, 2009 this image was featured in the Neon Heaven group. Travelers on Route 66 in eastern New Mexico can still eat under the giant sombrero at La Cita Restaurant in Tucumcari (pronounced too-come-carry). Located at the corner of South First Street and and Route 66. The restaurant name on the hat brim is lit up in neon at night. Ok, so it’s not noodles, and it’s not a sombrero. But I don’t know the name of this plant … so an interesting name was sure to get you here to see what it really is. Do you know? Here is a digital version of two drawings. I merged the images together in photoshop and made a few adjustments to make two separate oil pastel drawings one digital image. / Two calaveras, or skeletons, flirt with each other. The female bears resemblance to Frida Kahlo and the male is a mariachi. / The piece has the feel and spirit of El dia de los muertos, very exciting, emotional!
Two cards I bought: ...and two I made: ...framed!

a portrait taken while we were all together for a neighborhood gathering towards the midnight hour on New Years evening, 2008.. The Hispanic community in our neighborhood flourishes with family and fashion and wonderful food. It was a night to cherish for me.. I hope I can convey some of the fun we had.. through this inspired image I took while we were sharing . the woman had cooked tamales, refried beans, carne asada, tortilas, enchiladas, tostadas, ponche, the list is much much longer than this.. it was made with the freshest ingredients.. all cooked in the simplest way.. totally the type of food that you just dream about.. amazingly done.. we danced the night away.. and plopped to sleep wherever we could

This fellow was enthusiastic, energetic, and quite theatrical in his efforts to get passersby to stop at his little booth on the marina in Cabo San Lucas.

A Street Person in Cajamarca – Northern Peru.
This photo was taken at Tombstone, Arizona’s Wyatt Earp Days. There were costumed characters everywhere. Their costumes were judged on adherence to authenticity. Skits by acting groups were also judged. Photographed with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ 28. “The Town Too Tough to Die,” Tombstone was perhaps the most renowned of Arizona’s old mining camps. When Ed Schieffelin (SHEF·e·lin) came to Camp Huachuca (hwah·CHEW·kuh) with a party of soldiers and left the fort to prospect, his comrades told him that he’d find his tombstone rather than silver. Thus, in 1877 Schieffelin named his first claim the Tombstone, and rumors of rich strikes made a boomtown of the settlement that adopted this name. During World War I, Tombstone was a major producer of manganese for the government. In World War II, Tombstone was extracting lead for the cause. After both conflicts, Tombstone faded into obscurity, just to be resurrected at a later time. The citizenry of Tombstone decided rather than depending on a vanishing mining industry, they would focus their time and energy on tourism and restoration. Good call! Many of Tombstone’s historic buildings are within an area bounded by Fremont, 6th, Toughnut and 3rd streets. Among them are St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, built in 1882; the Crystal Palace Saloon, one of the most luxurious saloons in the West; and the Tombstone Epitaph building, where the oldest continuously published paper in Arizona is still being printed. Western printing history exhibits in the front office are free to the public. Truly a Historical American Landmark, Tombstone is America’s best example of our 1880 western heritage, which is well preserved with original 1880’s buildings and artifacts featured in numerous museums.
