what can i say, i find violence and gore ammusing at times; this is one of those times.
Does this Fire Fighting culture sound familiar… Focus on solving problems rather than patterns of problems / Deadlines drive all priorities instead of strategy / Priority is set by rank of person rather than importance / Individuals set priorities rather than strategic teams / Unrealistic deadlines set and accepted / Depend on the best people rather than training others / Patching is tolerated where really solving is required / Patchers are heros and rewarded but we should reward the solvers / Patches become the system instead of the system achieving goals / Problems managed by individuals instead of strategic teams So Fire Fighting or Problem Solving? I know which I prefer, but I know that tomorrow I’ll get into the office and find another nice shiny red fire bucket waiting for me! I might as well bang my head against that brick wall!

It took Denis’ extraodinary knowledge to work out that this shadow came from a Victorian cast iron book stand, quite rare I would think. Well done!near the courtyard window in my house
This is an unedited photo taken of a summer trip. I loved the feel of this. I was shopping , on my way to get my nails done, and then I turned the corner. This was staring at me and I took the shot. At first, I was wishing the man at the door would move, but actually, he has grown on me with time! I hope you enjoy it like i do! ST. LOUIS< MISSOURI
Update: / Ann Rodriguez correctly guessed a Covered Bridge, Michael Bermingham correctly “guessed” the state of PA. Submitted to Bubble Jeopardy, as some of you know our little friend has been spotted in numerous places (Grand Canyon, Bristol, Atlantic Ocean beaches). Your mission (should you choose to accept it), is to determine where Herman was spotted in this shot. Good luck !!! As you may know, he’s been spotted here: / / and here …. / / and of course here: / / and also here … /

What and… (if you’re very keen) where ….. ? Solved by Craig Maguire below – well done mate! It’s a coatimundi or “coati”: (also called hog-nosed coon, Snookum bear and the Brazilian Aardvark!) : a diurnal mammal, member of the raccoon family (Procyonidae) and native to South, Central and south-western North America. The word “coatimundi” (which I thought it was) is apparantly a commonly used misnomer applied to solitary adult males (which this one seemed to be) snuffling happy about rootling for food unconcernedly in a wild place Jacqi solved the place MEXICO and the more precise location remains to be guessed from clues on another wild pic in my gallery … you’ll get it in a snap! :)))) Posted this shot of his tail due to popular demand – hope it helps – it looks like hes got a fuzzy one from here (oh no he hasnt its just my photography!!) Nikon D60 / Nikkor 18-200 / UV filter (!) / f/5.6 / 1/60 sec / ISO – 1600 / 200mm Slight crop only
These were such incredible beetles to look at – the colours and markings were truly amazing. I have not enhanced the colours in any way. I will be uploading a collection of these beetle photographs – as each one shows it’s own character.
I originally posted this to have people guess what it was. It was solved by thenaturalphoto Margarine in a tub before it’s been disturbed. / A couple of people had commented that it looked like a swan which I thought also. That is how I came up with the title. MY BUBBLESITE
It’s straight from the camera or “As Is.” Seriously, I don’t have a clue what it is and I would appreciate if someone could identify it for me. Taken with a Canon 50D camera on 03/08/2009 in the village of Potterville, PA. I almost title it First Color Of Spring. The colorful fungi was on a fallen log next to a body of water. I didn’t see the small worms until I upload the image that are in front of the fungi. The talles one is not even 1/2” tall. / Aperture Priority Mode / Shutter Speed 1/20 sec / F-22 / ISO 100 / Tripod / Sigma s17-70mm lens

Here’s a pictorial challenge for you – try and pick which of these is the full moon. I shot this about an hour before dawn, simply by adjusting my focus so that I had a blur instead of a crisp image! It was a foggy start to the day and I had just pulled over to shoot a couple of images when this offbeat concept occurred to me. I had just got back in the car and this shot was literally taken from the driver’s seat before I resumed driving. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot in Melbourne in 2007, with a Pentax K100D using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F4.5, 1/6 sec, ISO 800, focal length 58mm. 13-6946
