Self Portrait Taken on a Back Alley Atelier expedition to an unused mental health facility in rural Victoria. This particular image was taken on the floor of the morgue which was icy cold and sterile and unlike the rest of the facility, kept clean and relatively dust free. www.joobrien.com.au

This is a 8 image stitch of the magnificent Jamison Valley in the Blue Mountains. / Taken just after sunrise as storm clouds rolled in from the south west. / The low lying cloud is a common sight around this time of the year as cold moisture laden air settles as mist in the deep valley some two to three hundred metres below. PLEASE VIEW LARGE!

An extremely weathered old jetty grimly stands defiant amidst the advancing mangroves in Westernport Bay. There were a few more people on the beach but I removed them to keep the sole figure walking towards the light. I liked the vastness of the shore in this pic I took during a walk to my local neighborhood pier. :)

The Phantom Falls is a phenomenon which occurs between the Megalong and Jamison valleys in the Blue Mountains.The low cloud from one valley rises up and then falls over a narrow strip of land (Narrow Neck) into the next valley. This photo was taken just after dark with a 15 second exposure. / The prominant rock formation is called Boar’s Head.
