For tafe we had to find a studio portrait image and copy it as best as we could so that our images were as close as possible to identical. This is my resulting image… / her mum doesnt know about this shot yet :S
My most popular work to date…. This photograph was taken on a gorgeous evening following a pacific storm that rolled through the northwest. The Columbia River, where this was taken, spans out almost five miles at the mouth. During low tide, mudflats expose and reflect the colors of the sunset for gorgeous photographs. This evening was exceptional with the fast moving thunderclouds passing by, lighting up the sky. Post-processing include HDR, and some dodging to even out the balance of the photo. / I hope you like it!
A long time ago…when the Kingdom of Thailand was known as Siam – Bhudda’s heads were lopped off each and every statue during the war. Arruthaya was once the capital of Siam. The Thai’s are in the process of finding and returning each bhudda head to their original body. Featured in the Statues and Such Group!
Ink on paper illustration from a book I have written and illustrated. This character is largely inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and an array of depressive songwriters I have encountered.
Sanctus Espiritus redeem us from our solemn hour / Sanctus Espiritus insanity is all around us / Sanctus Espiritus! Sanctus Espiritus! Sanctus Espiritus! In my darkest hours I could not foresee / That the tide could turn so fast to this degree / Can’t believe my eyes / How can you be so blind? / Is the heart of stone, no empathy inside? / Time keeps on slipping away and we haven’t learned / So in the end now what have we gained? Sanctus Espiritus, redeem us from our solemn hour / Sanctus Espiritus, insanity is all around us / Sanctus Espiritus, is this what we deserve, / can we break free from chains of never-ending agony? Are they themselves to blame, the misery, the pain? / Didn’t we let go, allowed it, let it grow? / If we can’t restrain the beast which dwells inside / it will find it’s way somehow, somewhere in time / Will we remember all of the suffering / Cause if we fail it will be in vain Sanctus Espiritus, redeem us from our solemn hour / Sanctus Espiritus, insanity is all around us / Sanctus Espiritus, is this what we deserve, / can we break free from chains of never-ending agony? / Within Temptation Made with Apophysis
I thought this was more effective when I added the “posterized” effect & a bit more magenta coloring. :) Sold 1 laminated print to a RedBubbler.
A solemn face with large eyes and tentacles on her head.
My ode to the shapeshifter in fairytales, in particular the deer girl Sadbh, from Irish mythology. ..the leaves are falling away, sodden and bruised. as winter beckons i loose myself in books..
Encaustic painting / A4 encaustic paper, pigmented block wax, clear bees wax applied with encaustic iron and stylus / Dedicated to all of the people who tragically lost their lives on 9-11. And to all of the people who continue to feel the pain and suffer from a senseless act.
Sometimes the only one there for you is you. We need to find solace in ourselves instead of trying to find it in others….

Featured in Canon DSLR – June 09 – thank you so much!! Featured in The Woman Photographer – June 09 – thank you very much to the hosts! This portrait of Mila (2) was taken in the back garden. Her older sister, Perrin, ran around behind her holding a black cloth to act as a ‘backdrop’ for me. In true 2 year old style, she decided today was the day that she would NOT smile, and as for looking at the camera… you can forget it. Keeping still was also not an option. So this is the end result of a frustrating shoot, but maybe the more interesting for it. Canon 400D, natural light, pp in photoshop CS2.

Its wedding season, not much time for anything else at the moment….. / On the day of this wedding we had round 2 of the now infamous dust storms – not as bad as the first day, but still enough to cast a very strange yellow light over everything, and turning the sun fluorescent blue. Despite the weird weather and the risk to the camera, the couple we absolutely gorgeous and very keen to get as many shots in as many different locations as possible. This was taken at “The Jetty”, just before the sun finally gave up and packed itself away. I thought the texture might be fitting, given the dust everywhere :-)
VIEW IT LARGE HERE Another shot from The Melancholy Years This was taken around the back of the main house, looks to be an old barn being overun by the weeds. Nikon d80
This classy Lady is “The Ambassador” of her country, talking to the audience, to the world about it…representing her nation with pride and dignity. / To emphasize the elegance of the painting, I added Gold everywhere where it seems to be yellow, and a fine, barely noticeable Silver in her dress, above her eye and her beads. / In real it is a very rich and sophisticated looking piece. Original: / Acrylic on Stretched canvas, 16/20in Available
