The doe seemed to be imparting secret wisdom to the fawn, while the daughter focused her attention somewhere else, perhaps just to see if the camera was catching her with a flattering image? :)

As those who know my work are all aware: I don’t usually “play with” Photoshop effects (of course except frames as I love framing). This time I can’t resist the concept so I used “vivid light” as an effect and add an extra gradient layer on top of the photo. I can only hope it worked.

It has taken over a year to complete this commissioned book for Villawood properties and as you can see it is about to be launched ,I just want to mention it very nearly didn’t happen as I and others questioned my abilities as a photographer ,all the what if’s / do I need to know photo shop to get a good photo,do I need a fantastic fancy camera. / do I need to be a photographer for 20 years ect, ect. / Well I decided to go with my gut feelings and my love of nature and give it a go,yes it was hard and I took well over 4000 photographs the result is an amazing book that I am proud to have my name on. / How did all this come about? one photo on Red Bubble.I would like to thank all on Red Bubble for their help, advice,encouragement and above all your friendship especially when I am absent for so long. / Photos to follow after launch I just could not wait to tell you all. / Kathryn
