“I find ornamental grass of immense beauty. These simple, sturdy plants bear the grace, flexibility and softness hard to find in more elaborate sorts. Growing wild in the pampas, they are a common view in the vast wilderness of the Argentinean plains. I grew up surrounded by them and still today they make me stop to contemplate their beauty. The thin and tall stems, crowned by filigree plumes, are a pretty artwork of Nature. This crown found itself in a regal moment of golden sunset glow, from where I could capture its ethereal moment.” / / / / Artist statement / My photographs are not enhanced; they represent the true nature and colours of the subjects as captured by the lens. I never lure my animated subjects to come close to me: spontaneity is the key. / / This is an original uncropped image. / / /
“You might be lonely but that doesn’t mean you have to be in the darkness” This lonely Tulip was the only one in the whole garden that was hit by the sunlight, it was impossible not to see it and admire it’s beauty.

Radiant Sol, giver of life and center of our solar system.
this is a nice but not too impressive capture of a sunset, but its got ties to my heart and soul: I was visiting a dear aunt and uncle in Las Cruces, New Mexico and my sisters and mom were there too. This was the last time my big sister was with us as a family. She didn’t tell us at the time, but she was fighting the rigors of cancer. The photos i took there did not give an inkling of what she was going through. Her smiles in the pictures were those of someone enjoying themselves in the company of others. She was always my guide, my support and a strong influence in my growing interest in photography. She loved taking pictures too. She would lend me her cameras and buy film to have at the ready. it was time to leave and so we stood outside saying our goodbyes to my aunt & uncle….as we admired the sunset. I turned to my sister and asked her, “how do you say sunset in spanish?” she smiled and said, “la puesta del sol”. Its been two years since she left us, and it feels like it was just yesterday. This is her sunset. This was her goodbye. yes, I miss her terribly….to this day I feel like a large part of me is missing. some say that feeling never goes away.
