This is my first work using soft pastel and it is one of my most popular pieces. I used various colours of soft pastel only, on A4 paper. It was created in early 2004. View my website to see more… / sarahbentvelzen.com
I don’t think there is any other flower like a Rose, that can say so much with so little….and with that I will let the photo itself speak….
This is a photo of a water droplet with a pink background, I used soft focus on this one. This is actually fun to do although only around one in ten or twenty shots even have a droplet visible and then out of those, very few have good clarity but I have managed to get some that I thought were nice. I’m a sucker for tiny reflections. / / /
I adore Lisianthus…..they are such a romantic flower, and they last for ages.

A corner which is escaped from a Monet painting. / I don’t knoe if exists or I found it only in my eyes – it hasn’t a time, too. / Now it’s yours. Visit it soflty. It’s fragile.

Womanhood – something of delicate, / fragile in the hand, / fragile in the mind. / And an imperfect lipstick / (too much kisses, / too much words). A state of mind.
I love Camille Claudel’s waltz – a sculpture where bodies become one and fluid and melted in an embrace which flows. / This is only a modest, unassuming waltz in a summer night – in the grass, following a music in mind. Mind is made of music and lyrics.
