I can’t remember the white tigers name – but she had gotten 2 pieces of chicken already when Socrateswas called over for his share. She didn’t want to share so she charged him. Nikon D90 / as is

you can see how much bigger Socrates is but the white tiger totally has him backing off – the only way he was able to get any chicken was to feed her at the same time. she TOTALLY made out with the treats yesterday!! Nikon D90

Socrates eventually got his chicken and I moved on to the next pen. The white tiger followed, chuffing for more treats and Socrates just crossed his paws and stayed a gentleman! For a ginormous tiger he is very mellow and layed back. Look at that face – a sweetie for sure!

I took this shot in Washington D.C. The contrast between the subjects in the background and the subject in the foreground was positively stark . While I do not know what accounts for the apparent disparity in means in this specific instance, it remains clear that there is something horribly amiss with poverty amist plenty & powerlessness so close to power—the title was the first thought that came to mind.
