This is the first in a series I foresee doing, to increase awareness to the plight of endangered and threatened animals from around the globe. This First Edition focuses on three of the largest and most endangered carnivores today, the Sumatran tiger, the Amur leopard, and the Snow leopard. These are by no means the only imperiled wild cats, as the majority of wild cat species smaller in average body size than 30 kg are at a critical stage. / / / Because without these animals I would never be able to bring their beauty to you, I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all of my sales proceeds from cards and prints of the imagery in this series here on Redbubble to Wildlife Conservation Society Thank you for your support in the race to stave off the extinction of these magnificent creatures.

Skies alight with burning fire / Smouldering with clouds of grey / Flashing yellows, to admire / Blinding light in dancing play / To what power can compare / This awesome sight that we behold / What could make a person stare / And make a story here unfold / A feline, such a stunning beast / Who’s beauty cannot be denied / Such beauty for thine eyes to feast / Of shimmered gold and blackened hide / The leopard proudly takes her stance / They say her spots cannot be changed / And while she makes her perfect dance / To want to would just be deranged / By Julie Langford . Julie Langford whom we all know and love here at RedBubble, approached me when I posted the original Poser excited at doing a collaboration where she would apply a sunset to the image. I accepted, and needless to say the result is stunning as you see before you! But then, Julie asked if I would like her to write some prose to accompany the piece when I posted it, and again I accepted. The poem is also hers, and I must say she has made me proud! We hope you all enjoy this collaboration or as I like to call it a “Coolaboration”! FUSIONartPHOTOGRAPHY.com Feature Artist for the GROUP:EXPERIMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY and EDITING Feature Artist for the GROUP:EXPERIMENTAL So much can and should be said about women. Every woman in the world must make a difference. We must continue to educate ourselves/everyday we must set a new challenge. Women are the backbone of the family/we also have a right to an education/a right to dignity. I have always struggled with the wonder of how women juggle their busy lives and not sure what the answer is. We will always be responsible for bringing children into the world/be always concerned but even with babe in arms and out of the work force /whatever age/we have an important role to play/we are an integral cog in the wheel/we must continue to make a difference…...read ….read/educate online/involve ourselves in community/council/politics/ business. Gaining knowledge is like climbing Fuji san….....start out with nothing but hopes and dreams in your heart /half way up the mountain you will look back and think how did I ever do this/but every step of learning is a mind growing more powerful. Then the responsiblity is to use this power/knowledge gained in a way to benefit our world. Nothing is impossible and everything possible if we work together. When I create I have no one in mind particularly so please do not take offence. It is just that everywhere I go I meet amazing women and always my mind is filled with questions. /

The press loved the Mini on it’s launch in 1959, but sales were unimpressive, but when well known celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Twiggy became owners that the sales went through the roof. I’m pretty sure the Italian Job also had plenty to do with sales post 1969. The scene where the robbers’ Minis are chased through a sewer tunnel were filmed in the Sowe Valley Sewer Duplication system in the English city of Coventry.
Who’s watching the watchers? / There are up to 4.2 million CCTV cameras in Britain – about one for every 14 people… / London has 10,000 crime-fighting CCTV cameras which cost £200 million. But analysis of the publicly funded spy network, has cast doubt on its ability to help solve crime. In fact, four out of five of the boroughs with the most cameras have a record of solving crime that is below average.

The Flat Earth Society / “The facts are simple,” says Charles K. Johnson, president of the International Flat Earth Research Society. “The earth is flat.” He believes that the main purpose of the space program is to prop up a dying myth—the myth that the earth is a globe. “Nobody knows anything about the true shape of the world,” he contends. The sun and moon, in the Johnson version, are only about 32 miles in diameter. They circle above the earth in the vicinity of the equator, and their apparent rising and setting are tricks of perspective, like railroad tracks that appear to meet in the distance. The moon shines by its own light and is not eclipsed by the earth. Rather, lunar eclipses are caused by an unseen dark body occasionally passing in front of the moon. Johnson’s beliefs are firmly grounded in the Bible.
This image was photographed at the waterfront in the OLD TOWN of DUBROVNIK/CROATIA Judged by Tuck Leong at Melbourne Camera Club/open EDI/Highly Commended Death in Dubrovnik…............ well WHAT did happen to…..........BRITT LAPTHORNE this title has to do with the complexities of a missing girl…..... For those who live outside Australia you maybe interested to know that BRITT LAPTHORNE/ 21-year-old Melbourne woman went missing from a nightclub in the Croatian town of Dubrovnik on September 18. Her body was found many days later washed up near rocks not far from the city centre. Last year I was fortunate enough to visit this wonderful city of DUBROVNIK…...........I felt I had found paradise and had been told this was a most magical place to take photographs. And yes/ I had found paradise and started to wonder about the war here in ‘91 /Death in Dubrovnik…...and then I started to think about this beautiful young woman taken tragically away from her family. I walked the streets of the Old City and surrounds for nearly a week. The more I thought about her the more I wanted to find out about her and so sat in a local internet cafe and tried to read as much as possible about her. So this only made me think more about this young woman and how her family must have felt at the time .So then as I walked the streets every crack in the old walls /every crack in the pavement I photographed /I asked myself did she walk this way….........did she see the beauty I was seeing….... / This image was taken in Dubrovnok and is of the Fuego Latino Club where BRITT LAPTHORNE visited the night she died……..........well some locals say she did visit the club and some say she didn’t! These images were taken from a 4th fl. balcony overlooking the nightclub. I watched for about 15 minutes. It would be impossible for this young woman’s exit from the nightclub to go undetected by the camera. I wonder why Britt’s parents could not see their daughter exit the club when they watched the film footage from that night…...... / this image was taken at the small port in the OLD TOWN of Dubrovnik/this image is not meant to offend but something did happen to this young woman…...... .............sometimes we don’t know what we’re looking for….......this image was taken at a hotel on the outskirts of Dubrovnik. The puzzle and anguish of this mystery can be too much for a family to experience…......... I’m going to tell you what’s on my mind! / looking for answers
Meet Chula…Means little or pretty little girl…she came onto our desert property two weeks ago. She was starved, delirious and close to death. Still a puppy, maybe eight or nine months old…she stumbled up to my husband, all fear burned away long ago by starvation and just laid down and began a long mournful cry. / Naturally he called me, I went out and it was so sad that I got tears in my eyes. / We live out in the desert and we see strays now and then or dogs that may live close by and are just on scent…but over the last several months we are starting to see our desert community become a dumping ground for animals (mostly dogs). As the belts tighten and people can’t afford to feed themselves let alone an animal, guess who loses? / Anyway, I fed her and she slept for five hours…woke up, eyes had cleared some, I fed her a bit more and she slept for three more hours. Finally woke up and that was two weeks ago. / I guess Chula is now part of our family, much to the distain of our three other SPOILED RESCUE DOGS…they seem to forget that they too were once in Chula’s place! / Well we have room and it is a “kill center” in the nearest town shelter…it they are not adopted out in 72 hours the shelter puts down the animals…I just could not do that to this dog… / So far I have lost two patio pillows, one tennis shoe and she insists on doing her business in my flower beds, but that is okay…I have taken responsibility for every animal that I found or found me…they have no choice. / Since she came to us I have counted seven more stray wandering dogs and a black cat lived in the garage for a few days and moved on…and now I hear rumors that people are turning out their horses in the area because they can’t feed them. / Please donate to a local shelter…go to the store and buy a big bag of dog food or cat food to help feed the overflowing numbers of abandonded animals…or find a little more space in your heart for an animal that has no choice. I have always admired the work of Escher. I have done a design based on relativity before. I always imagined what a game of chess would look like on this ‘board’ so here it is. See if you can find the check.
Different? My depiction of the mind of someone in personal struggle with society. The light and the dark, happy and sad, known and unknown. All of this moving with random thought processes, pop culture, gossip, media influence, culture clashes and a lot of the time, white noise to fill whatever silence is left. This is modern society. Confusing, confronting, intimidating and at times down right scary. Which way do we go? Title of this piece I have borrowed from one of my favourite songs: “..can I please have some silence. How about some space..“ / Mindcircus – Way Out West. City Of Melbourne Musuem. Not the one in Carlton, housing dinosaur bones and relics though. This is the nondescript one on Spring Street, in the old Treasury Building. It showcases the history of Melbourne as a city, from colonisation to today. This was taken in the vaults, underground. Which have been turned into an interactive journey through the gold rush days. This particular room had only a tv and light in it, both of modern look. The contrast grabbed my attention straight away. It had a spooky yet familiar effect on me. I didn’t know what to make of it, but I kept looking at it, unsure what to think or feel. Slight crop of original photo. Desaturated all and selectively coloured tv screen. Increased contrasted and brightness to achieve higher levels of mood.
