I laughed and laughed as I watched this drama play out in a wetlands area of the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island in Canada, where thousands of trumpeter swans spend the winter. I have no idea what is happening here, but I have witnessed similar events. The birds are talking as only trumpeters can talk, the wings flapping, and the bodies moving in a kind of dance. Nikon D300, Nikkor f4 600 mm lens, ISO 400, F9, 1/400s.

Sean Penn was just great in the movie Milk, based on Harvey Milk. It is truly an amazing film and he did just an amazing job! Update: 2009 OSCAR WINNER for “MILK”!!!! Congrats to him!! Brad and Angelina were by far the biggest actors at the awards. They arrived last and the red carpet was cleared out for them. They did several laps around the red carpet, including 2 laps for the bleachers…. They did own this red carpet, without a doubt…..
