  A pic taken in semi rain till before the night comes on the day on the valey of river Soca in Slovenija. This is a wanderful valey .. a must see if you are somewhere near the Italian Slovenian border. Here was the first world war front line.. on the left mountain were Italians and on the right Austrians. A sad story that surround this incredible emerald river.. You will see this river in next months in the Walt Disney Cronichles of Narnia II movie.   This is the proud of town Solkan a few km from my home. Is a railway stone bridge over 100 years old and its arch span of 85m is the biggest stone arch on railway bridges in the world. Intto the first world war was destroyed while here was the first line between Austrians and Italians.   This is a pic taken on 30.12.2007 at the delta of river Soca in Italy. Here is the natural reserve of “Isola della cona” which is one of the best palces for birdwatching in Italy and maybe in Europe. More than 300 spieces of birds live here plus wild horses Camurage and a lot of other animals. Is a wanderful place.   Photographed at this year’s Notting Hill Carnival which takes place in the area of North West London that I live in. This guy cottoned on at the very last minute that I was photographing him, hence the eye contact. Canon 10D / 1/200th sec at f8.0 / 35-135 mm lens at 135mm\ / ISO100 Processing: Cropped and desaturated in Lightroom. Added Split toning, adjusted curves, brightness and contrast. Opened file in Photoshop adjusted curves and created a faux ND Grad filter in another layer to compensate for strong light in the top right corner. Burned the right hand side of the hairdo a little to reduce the slight flare of the top right highlight.
