A seagull with outstretched wings is pictured against a deep blue sky
This was shot in Disney World, Animal Kingdom.
A view of one of the towers of the Segreda Familia. I liked the way the walkway above curved over me.
I have been visited and surrounded lately by Ravens….it seems they are everywhere I go. As I was walking the other day, one flew over my head so close that I could hear the sound of his wings. Last night as we watched the sunset, there were several of them soaring over our house for a long while…. Raven brings awareness of the magic of life…..and so each time I see one or hear one call, I smile and know that I am being given a gift…. Taken from my front porch—Estes Park, Colorado.
This is the second unscheduled flight this fellow enjoyed in protecting the bullriders from being trampled. These bullfighters earn their keep every night and sometimes take a beating in the process. This fellow finished the night but was noticeably absent the next two nights. I hope he is alright. / Taken at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo, August 29/08. Some PS and SC to save the low-light photo with no flash.

By no means whatsoever would I ever go so far as to call myself a photographer. I’m barely able to call myself an illustrator, so calling me a photographer makes about as much sense as the fact that Ben Affleck is famous. (Which is none at all.) Just for the heck of it though, I thought I would post a few shots i’ve taken over the years. Mock them if you must, but I must warn you that I am quite sensitive, and could possibly cry. A 6’ 200lb. grown man crying makes for an awkward situation for everyone.

This dragon fly seemed to love heat… Over the past week we have suffered from an extreme heatwave (the hottest week in Melbourne for 100 years) here in Melbourne with temperatures soaring over 40 degrees and up to 45 degrees. Yesterday in a bid to escape the heat I visited Warburton and found a water hole on the yarra river. I am uploading a few images from this this excursion. Taken on the 31-1-09

It was one of those days in Rocky Mountain National Park where the wind just chilled me to the bone….walking around Sprague Lake wrapped in layers of clothing, I was wondering to myself if Spring is ever going to come….then I looked into the wintery sky to see this Red-tailed Hawk soaring above me…he seemed to be floating on the wind, catching the currents and hanging above the peaks….I watched him until he was out of sight beyond the trees…I smiled and walked on, feeling much warmer inside… Estes Park, Colorado.
