  • Hiking to the Kebnekaise valley in the far north of Sweden during September can be challenging due to rough weather. However, it sure is rewarding once you get there and see the beauty of autumn in these alpine areas.

  • Snow geese trio in Missouri.

  • “Extinction is forever” t-shirt. Part of my line promoting awareness and raising funds for endangered species globally. This is also available as cards and prints. All proceeds (100%) are going to the Wildlife Conservation Society for endangered species protection. Because without these animals I would never be able to bring their beauty to you, I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all of my sales proceeds from cards and prints of the imagery in this series here on Redbubble to Wildlife Conservation Society

  • A different perspective on the world. Also a nice seasonal picture. It’s a picture of glass globes that have been hanging in the front window at home and I took the picture through them into the winter wonderland outside. It’s not a recent picture, it was taken two, maybe three winters ago. Thought I’d put it up and let it get some exposure! I’m really happy with how it turned out! I hope you enjoy this piece. Any and all comments welcomed and appreciated! • Garden Of the Gods Park, outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, is without a doubt one of my all time favorite places to shoot at….the light there just dances, especially during the golden hours just after sunrise…..Pike’s Peak is in the background, with the wind blowing the snow into the sky. / Thoughts welcomed! • Photographed in morning light at Garden Of The Gods Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado, processed in HDR Thoughts welcomed!

  • This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

  • It was really cold up there in the mountains at times … like late October Jasper Canada

  • 28 Sept 2002 Grand Teton National Park Nikon D1 / Nikkor 28-105mm Part of this 2009 Calendar

  • During a trip to Yellowstone we made the drive through Beartooth Pass. We got caught in a blizzard at the top of the pass. The snowstorm resulted in a few nice images though. This is one of them. Following this road leads you to a junction where you can head east toward Cody, WY or into the NE entrance of Yellowstone. Beartooth Pass has been featured in the following groups: COUNTRY ROADS / Around the World, Landscape Photography Canon EOS 20D / SIGMA 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM / 3-exposure HDR

  • A different perspective on the world. Also a nice seasonal picture. It’s a picture of glass globes that have been hanging in the front window at home and I took the picture through them into the winter wonderland outside. I’m really happy with how it turned out! This is a re-submission of the original as I’ve edited this picture to include the words “Merry Christmas” to make it a more attractive (possibly?) greeting card :) I can change the text to anything else, so if you’re interested in some other text like “Season’s Greetings” or “Happy Holidays” or “Happy New Year” I can do that. Just let me know and I”ll be happy to oblige! :D I hope you enjoy this piece. Any and all comments welcomed and appreciated! • Cool picture. Literally … Winter 2007 / 2008: China had its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad has seen its first snow in all recorded history. North America had the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile — the list goes on and on. It’s cold outside, so lets light up the fireplace to stay warm and snuggly and watch some movies. Frozen road construction signal in Munich, Germany, / late December 2007 / / Laminated Print /

  • I took this today outside of a post office shop in a little village / thought it was quite cute …..shame it wasn’t snowing lol lol

  • I stood in the snow behind the tripod, so quietly that one bird landed on my lens! What joy. I couldn’t actually say we bonded, but I was thrilled. I’ve had birds land on my hat, but never one that I could see so closely. Featured in Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams – Thank you! Shot in RAW. Slight curves adjustment, at the suggestion of Eivor. The snowfall made it necessary to bump up the ISO to 320. I tried ISO 640 at one point, but those looked a tad grainy. This is a male Common Redpoll in today’s snowfall. Note snowflake on his back. Our area has so far eluded Mt. Redoubt’s harsh volcanic particles, although Alaska Airlines and FedEx had to suspend all flights in and out yesterday. • The sunlight through the petals and leaves looked lovely against the backdrop of the snow outside. Our short days make sunshine seem all the more precious, even indoors. Winner of Tulips in Vases challenge (I know – how many people have those photos or flowers hanging around, ready to pop into a challenge, eh?) Actually, I’m truly appreciative. And nice of someone to post it on the homepage, too. Pacific Northwest Art featured May 30, 2009 – Thank you! # Featured in Alaska ~ Beyond Your Dreams – Thank you!
