  • LITHUANIA THE LAST WORKS (CLIKC FOR VIEW)

  • A major early snow storm blanketed the Cascade Mountains. A small lake nearly froze over by winter cold offers a bit of a reflection as Mt. Rainier looms in the background capped by a lenticular cloud cap. A pristine view one can linger on if you can stand the cold.

  • Horse enjoying running on a foggy winter morning at Tilly Foster Farm in Carmel, NY.

  • This wonderful oak tree is located in the foothills of the Tehachapi Mountains in Southern California. All the original limbs have been broken off by the snow loads of winter storms. The present limbs were regrown over the years. Photo taken during a blowing snowstorm. Nikon 8700.

  • One must suffer for your art correct? Well this might fit, I headed out this cold December dawn a year ago with temps at -5 and windchill at -30. A bit chilly and I learned that if you take a glove and grab a metal tripod leg your hand will stick at least for a few moments. I hope the image was worth it! The frozen surface of Mud Lake just after dawn one cold winter morning. The long shadows of the tree stumps making eerie lines across the ice and skiff of snow on top.

  • Lithuania, Vilnius region, the lake “ŽALIEJI EŽERAI” (Green lakes) the top 10 in the Homes Challenge in A Place To Call Home: THE LAST WORKS (CLIKC FOR VIEW) /

  • Canon 350 D 17-40 mm lens. Winter landscape with sunset in fog.

  • Loch of the Lowes lies in the beautiful scottish borders between Moffat and Selkirk. It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Ettrick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (There is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) My first ever feature on the home page ages on 23rd April 2008 and what a party that was…LOL See also : ‘i am a rock’ and ‘LoL’ loch of the lowes

  • I was inspired by the contrast and affect of soft, quieting snow to busy city life and its bold structures. This was mainly painted using a palette knife and heavily textured with impasto. Oil on Canvas 24”x20” Original Sold http://www.theoceanseries.com/1stARPEx.html Featured in: Abstract Realism, New England, The Fringe, Impressionist Art, and Redbubble’s home page

  • The Icelandic Harvester. / / When I came across this old vessel moored to the pier my imagination started running wild with scenarios of what life aboard this wooden vessel would have been like. I could almost feel the sineous texture of the ropes as they hung there coated in the ice cold saltwater of the frigid North Atlantic Ocean. I could nearly hear the calls of the sailors as they shouted commands back and forth across her weather beaten decks as the waves crashed down upon her on any one of her numerous voyages. What sights must have been seen as sailors of old lined the rails to peer down at the mysteries of the sea. How many men were lost at sea and how many made it home with wild stories of his adventure aboard the Icelandic Harvester. / / Shot with a Canon 400D and processed in Lightroom 2. / / NautilusBlue / / nominated this image to be showcased in the group Pay It Forward and this is what she had to say… / / Ice Breaker / by Kevin Kroeker / I think it is an outstanding image with great composition ( great leading lines) with lots of drama and the colours are amazing . It shows us the harshness of the climate. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography /

  • This design inspired by Japanese kimono designs and wood block prints. I originally designed it for dark colors, but it actually looks kind of cool on some of the lighter ones – aqua, lt blues and pinks. Related Items From Our Other Shops: / (Click on Image to View and Buy)
