It is very hard to try to explain how incredible Antarctica is if you have not been lucky enough to travel there! For those of you who have, you know what I mean. For those that have not, I will slowly be adding more images to help you understand, as words are just not enough! / / Let’s just say, I really really really wish I could go back some day!!! / / (Antarctic Peninsula) / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

Taken at Anderson Ranch Reservoir, although the sun was not where it seems to be, this really was an illusion. I had to get out and catch this shot. I love this lake and this place. When we lived here my camera was with me at all times, even when I went down for groceries, you never knew what you might see on the way down or back up. I love it here and it will always be home for me in my heart. Exposure time 1/160 sec., / F-Stop F/4.0, Aperture Value F/2.0, ISO 64.0. Canon EOS, Rebel XT, Lens 18-55 mm.
A HDR image of Lake Dillon, CO from the East side at sunset. It had snowed all the week before and the lake was iced over, reflecting the sunset beautifully.
Watsons Crags are in Kosciuszko National Park and in my opinion is the most spectacular alpine ridge line in Australia. On this particular occassion I had spent the day skiing out from Thredbo to camp at the frozen Lake Albina on a spectacular little knoll overlooking the Crags. This shot was taken halfway through dinner at my personal restaurant. The heater at the restaurant was pathetic, but the view… For other shots from this area check out my Kosciuszko gallery. Lookout Mountain outside of Golden Colorado at Sunrise….quite an amazing morning! Thoughts most welcomed!

Mindscape is a mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. The word is most suitable to the filed of psychology. Mindscape has two words combined in such a way that the meaning goes beyond it – Mind and Escape… It can be translated as a Mind that wants to escape or a Mind that is in route of escaping. This adventure can be in the sense of reality or in spiritual world. / Depression sufferers escape from facts, hallucinates escape from reality, psychotics and neurotics escape from many other forms of life. We usually state that they are people who require help so that they can live an ordinary life. But who is to decide what is normal and what is abnormal? If ones can see the other side of horizon, according to them they deem the facts strongly that they hold about life, oneself and reality. They believe they are the right ones who are amongst wrong people. Are you one of them? I tend to assume we all are, one way or another. During a trip to Yellowstone we made the drive through Beartooth Pass. We got caught in a blizzard at the top of the pass. The snowstorm resulted in a few nice images though. This is one of them. Following this road leads you to a junction where you can head east toward Cody, WY or into the NE entrance of Yellowstone. I was transfixed when I saw this breathtaking scene last evening near my place in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania on November 21, 2008. Early winter snows are always the best! Taken with a Canon Digital Rebel EOS Xsi. / / /
Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. Well been away from RB for a week but will catch up with all the work I’ve missed from you all. I took this shot last night and got frost nip in the process, so my finger tips all felt like they had been smashed with a hammer, can still feel it a bit today, I’ve already been told off for not wearing gloves ;-) / It was really beautiful and worth a little pain. Taken on Mt Wellington Tasmania facing west to distant mountain ranges.
Song by Dave Matthews Standing here / The old man said to me / Long before these crowded streets / Here stood my dreaming tree / Below it he would sit / For hours at a time / Now progress takes away / What forever took to find / Now he’s falling hard / He feels the falling dark / How he longs to be / Beneath his dreaming tree / Conquered fear to climb / A moment froze in time / When the girl who first he kissed / Promised him she’d be his / Remembered mother’s words / There beneath the tree / No matter what the world / You’ll always be my baby / Mommy come quick / The dreaming tree has died / The air is growing thick / A fear he cannot hide / The dreaming tree has died / Oh have you no pity / This thing I do / I do not deny it / All through this smile / As crooked as danger / I do not deny / I know in my mind / I would leave you now / If I had the strength to / I would leave you up / To your own devices / Will you not talk / Can you take pity / I don’t ask much / But won’t you speak / Please / From the start / She knew she had it made / Easy up ‘til then / For sure she’d make the grade / Adorers came in hordes / To lay down in her wake / She gave it all she had / But treasures slowly fade / Now she’s falling hard / She feels the fall of dark / How did this fall apart / She drinks to fill it up / A smile of sweetest flowers / Wilted so and soured / Black tears stain the cheeks / That once were so admired / She thinks when she was small / There on her father’s knee / How he had promised her / You’ll always be my baby / Daddy come quick / The dreaming tree has died / I can’t find my way home / There is no place to hide / The dreaming tree has died / Oh if I had the strength / Take me back / Save me please -Dave Matthews Band Shot taken- Mt Wellington
walking for a thousands days / knowing you would never go away / there’s snow inside my eyes / but it’s warm inside my heart / the night comes like an old friend / your beauty beating in my chest / you can use my last wish now / I feel your words are speaking true now were meeting in this night / trading glances that became a story / holding breath like it could be the last / filling answers in a broken glass sitting under these quiet stars / wishing we could rise above / looking down upon ourselves / looking back against the black / you could hold a thought so true / like a secret that you never thought through / waiting for the dawn this time / we can wait here you and I now were meeting in this night / trading glances that became a story / holding breath like it could be the last / filling answers in a broken glass -me Pic-Mt Wellington
