That’s my son on the end of the jetty with the world at his feet.
Looking down the gorge from the lower bridge, Falls of Bruar . I’m particularly impressed by the colours and the smooth glistening rocks. This area is rich in geology (an extension of the Loch Tay fault?): there’s a lot of limestone and other metamorphic sedimentary rocks (layered slate, possibly some schist) and a bit of red sandstone nearby, all folded making rakish angles. Taken on the Shen Hao 5×4” large-format camera with Fuji Velvia (old RVP emulsion) film.
A funny thing happened on the way to Mt. Rainier well before sunrise. I noticed the morning mist rising over Clear Lake and the cirrus clouds fanning out above them and decided that a glorious sunrise on the lake was worth more than a maybe on the mountain. I fumbled my way in the dark via flashlight to the lakes edge and had time to search for composition before the heavens lit up. Not a bad way to start a day at all.
Full moon over the havre des pas lido in St Helier, Jersey.
Taken a while ago at a place called Warners Bay in Newcastle, Oz. It’s infrared.
First of all, big kudos go to fellow bubbler Kevin Kroeker, who gave me a great idea of some add’l post processing steps which I had not tried before, until this image. HDR Image of an antique shiny black car with tons of chrome. I don’t know why, but I absolutely love this image. Hope you do as well. My art with 1000+ views
Taken in the grounds of Morisset Mental Hospital…yes, I felt quite at home =-)

Completed in 2004, age 17 This is a slightly cropped version of the original, due to the limits of my camera. My original signature got cropped out so I had to insert a new one in photoshop; in the original it is not actually located there. Original size: (40” x 30”) The two subjects are posed in similar positions, each having a dark, circular central focus., Both images have lines above and surrounding the centres, which draw attention towards the centres. The vertical composition help strenghten the feeling of height given by the vertical lines. Both subjects are organic, however one, the eye, has straight lines and geometrical shapes, while the rose has curvy lines and organic shapes. In the eye, the centre is literally dark, while in the flower the darkness is created by shadows. Shooting along Tremont, we Finally have some water in our rivers, due to a very nice rain season for the year, definitely beats last year of 2007’s drought. / I was playing around with shutterspeed on this showing a new photographer friend of mine from Ohio what the different settings produce. I am trying to get Lou here on the bubble, I didnt warn him about the addiction tho :) / Great thing about digital, we can experiment all we want, and just delete if we dont like. So I am always up for experimenting, especially when my subject isnt taking off in the woods. I shot this in shutterspeed priority / SS set at 1/4th of a second / F-stop at F29 / ISO at 100 / Focal length at 187mm / Exposure Comp at -0.3
